  1. Could be singing Bech praises on 4th May as last year he was one of the best visiting guests at Brandon.
  2. I always had Lakeside predicted as finishing 7th at the start of the season as thought they had the weakest reserve pairing in the league and also Kennett's away form/post May dip to come. They rely a lot of Lawson. (Granted I had Wolves as 8th but so far proving me very wrong) When you look at the table,Lakeside currently sit 3rd. However I think once every team has raced the same amount of meetings that will change a lot. Lakeside have scored 10 out of a possible 28points. Away wins are going to be crucial, starting tonight at Leicester.
  3. Danny King gives his opinions on the track last night including the graveyard gate 1. I hope they get it sorted fast as need to be even better at home than away. http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.3122 I would like to see Belle Vue make top 4, yes partly because it's our best away track but also because I like their team. However they have so far gained 4points from an available 22points. That leaves them a big task even at this early stage.
  4. Not sure why so much negativity towards this King's Lynn team. They are unbeaten at home and have a good chance of remaining that way for a while esp with the form of Kerr and Lambert. They may have lost this meeting but they were away from home against a team that were even stronger than normal due to guests. It will be a bit harder for King's Lynn than last year as whilst they have kept the same team as last season (although slightly weaker without Rose) the other teams are stronger than last year so more competitive. Think that will make the league a lot closer this year with not one stand out team. King's Lynn also have Iversen and Porsing returning from injury. I still have no doubt that King's Lynn will make the top 4.
  5. When asked about it on Twitter, he just joked that teams at the lower end of the table also need points. Also said they already knew the 3points were safe going into heat 15. Even though top of the table, the atmosphere does often seem flat. I don't think many people respond well to our announcer. I think another person to replace or support him would be a big bonus. Don't miss the start line girls and it proves they are not needed.
  6. Sounds like somebody else agrees about the track @MikkelBechJ: Hard to come to our home track week in & out & never the same. Paid 9 in 4 races. Not impressed but we going the right way!
  7. Bees rode well tonight against a team of Brandon track specialists. Garrity & Sarjeants bikes struggled for speed early on but once Garrity changed his bike later in the meeting, he was untouchable. The start gates weren't very even tonight either. Looking forward to Blackbird V Garrity Predicting bees to get a point from this meeting.
  8. In one word: YES Woffy will be in the team and so he should be. Madness to even question it.
  9. I thought the crowd was quite good. I agree at times early on it did seem whoever gated won. Don't know if this was down to the track or riders.
  10. Wasn't expecting that result. Congratulations Wolves. This meeting proves once again how important the reserves part in the meeting is.
  11. Also could affect the for and against which decides standing at end of the season if same points. Was a strange decision.
  12. Was very surprised by the heat 15 rider line up. Think maybe if it had been last year when you would have lost a point at home then they wouldn't have risked. Wish Garrity had used that 2nd bike earlier as once he changed bikes he was untouchable and won by a mile. Enjoyed the meeting and thought positives for both teams. Nicholls was brilliant to watch as always at Brandon. Congratulations to bees on another win and also Belle Vue on their point.
  13. [quote name="Crazy robin" post="2602747" timestamp="142965289 Still have no idea how Charles is higher than Kyle in the list. The new averages and draft list has been released today and from 1st May, Newman and Blackbird move higher up the list whilst Wright moves 3rd from bottom. This means when Wright is missing Swindon can use Worrall, Birks or any of the tier 1 riders without a team in guest list.
  14. Personally wouldn't say it was like for like around Brandon
  15. I think Wed will be a tough task for the bees and it's our weakest away track so you should be okay.
  16. It's going to be like Coventry V Coventry select as Belle Vue have 5 ex coventry riders (Scott, Stefan,Howarth,Zengi & could count Max) Worrall and Zagar always go well at Brandon. I think this will be Belle Vue's best chance of getting a win at Brandon.
  17. Sounds like a good debut meeting for Garrity. Shame Sheffield didn't get the win.
  18. Oh no. That's not good then. How about Rory 😜Or Magic/Nicholls.
  19. With Hans, Harris and esp Newman coming in, I personally think this 1-7 look stronger than Swindon's own team so there best chance of a home win.
  20. Hope both operations go well for Simon and he has a speedy recovery. X
  21. (Only just seen the post you have quoted as I have him on blocked) Thanks TesarRacing. It's good to see somebody else who actually appreciates and enjoys posting on the sport we enjoy. Too many people come on here to be negative. With regards to the twitter reporter comments, I followed the updates on there and like many others do being as that's part of what Twitter is, I commented twice. Maybe he should also put me on block or not look out for my posts on either site. When you read through his posts they are often just negative towards other posters and very rarely about speedway, just negatives if it's not about Swindon which makes me wonder why he uses the site. Really enjoying both EL & NL speedway this year 👍
  22. Reading lots of negatives on Twitter about the track being gate and go again last night. Could somebody who was there confirm if this was the case?
  23. No esp when he has been scoring brilliantly lately. Twitter said he missed the gates in last couple. Very low score for Howarth & Zengi as well. Ashley Morris had a tough night but Kerr scored enough for them both.
