I do think we still have a good product, i think most people's bug bearer is the stupid rules when really the sport is simple to follow.Once the sky money has gone then i think then the purse string,s will have to be reigned in.The worrying thing is from the outside looking in from the GP Series everything looks rosy but in reality it is far from that.

Great to see young Bates has had a good start today! i suppose with the young English guys you don't want to push them and they end up out of there depth.I see EL racing but i prefer PL racing some damn good teams in that league a more competitive league even. -

I agree with TNT,s point if you give a young talented englishmen a go and he scores say 3 or 4 why would you pay over the odds say on a foreigner who might only score 1 or 2 more points. We all agree that the likes of Barrett,Dyer,Dilger, Tabaka,Fricke, (ect) can all improve and it's great they are in the PL. But we shouldn't forget they're might be a few young uns who eventually could make the step up from the NL if given a extended run? i hope so anyway. -

A great read and no doubt in my mind it is great value for money fair play it has stayed the course and moved with the times.Am very very surprised it hasn't gone up to the rounded figure of 3 pound because everything else has gone up.! -

Funny thing BWitcher is that i don't class talking to you as a debate!either i agree or i am shot down.My point is very simple really, you don't need to twist it?I don't think the qualifying system now is as good and fair as you make out what is wrong with only 8 automatically qualifying and maybe 7 places up for grabs is that a reasonable suggestion. And if say Iversen had missed out would you of said that would of been a massive injustice? To be honest they have both got more sense than me because they can see that they would be losing a battle. Not because they are wrong because what,s the point when you post remember it is not just about being ALWAYS right. -

MJJ and Iversen should not of even been in a qualifier in the first place, just as brutal as the one off system it isn't any better. If Iversen had missed out what a travesty that would of been and MJJ certainly had done anough through out the season.Thats the argument if they,re say was only 8 spots taken maybe another 1 for a wildcard leaving 7 fresh spots that would be fine so for me this system is no fairer than the old system worse if anything. If say the riders placed 9-16 had to ride a qualifier against the next best that would be fine.So people keep saying about the old system being unfair this one now is even more so a closed shop is Iversen a example he rode his balls off all year was outstanding yet might not of qualified. The old system was far from perfect but at least everyone was in the same boat, now the qualifying system is far from perfect. -

Ok now it wouldn't be viable that's one of the reason,s why it was scrapped but wouldn't it be great for some of the young uns to ride and learn against there elder statesmen.Did last year young Ritchie W miss out? average to low ( maybe he was in u 21s)? when he was on fire!who is to say he wouldn't of done well. -

What about the riders before the semi,s now are they all getting a chance then? if so i didn't realise that!!.Speedway did try a masters and i would of liked both a one off as well but that was unrealistic -

You know they don't! so get real before the 2 semi finals they had qualifiers so anyone within reason had a chance. Its different now we all know that to me it's a different competition it's like chalk and cheese the romance has gone.Wouldnt be so bad if Cardiff generated the same gate as Wembley not a hope them getting anywhere near the gates they got. -

No because it was like the FA Cup everyone had a chance! a place for the little underdog to have his day unlike now different day different era i suppose. But the way it is now has the sport prospered not really still mainly poor facilities but can't take away the GPs is a ok product. -

If Gollob,Hancock,Pedersen,go within 2 years that still is a big void! saying that i was WRONG about the talent coming through. How many many riders though would people believe are ready to go straight into the series?.Some believe Janowski and others are not world class what is the criteria, this is the problem for me because i hate the qualifying route. -

Josh Bates is a prime ex) this year i hope the stags are prepared to carry him for a bit they were great with Toft and that was correct. I dont think they will have to carry him totally though and there is a rider there with huge potential. But he has to be allowed to do his apprenticeship and have a few rough spots often the Brits who would of proved themselves over a period often were not given the chance.I know it's a different level but isn't LAHTI a example if you rate someone keep prevailing and the results will come. -
Malc Holloway was my favourite ever rider remember him destroying the flower beds at the Abbey in 77?Mike Lee was a close second a class act probably at his best one of the quickest ive seen destroyed Crumpie in the helmet once and that was difficult to do then.

I was very impressed with him, fair play to Tai he was competetive my advice to him for what it's worth ( nothing!) is go and enjoy it don't put loads of pressure on yourself. The ability is there and his aim for me firstly is to get his hands on the British Championship he will surprise many i believe this year good luck for the year. -
