  1. Everybody have there view, and i don't dislike either of them but i must say i did prefer the N.Z commentary. As for the heat 22 and the meeting the speedway spoke for itself so those comments didn't make it any better.
  2. What you said to a degree is right 'Oldace' the sport has sat back and is still in the dark ages.Have you a answer to get the younger fan going i haven't ! my older boy often went with me enjoyed it but now aged 21 has lost interest. That age group have so many other thing,s to do nowadays but the annoying thing is he still knows what is going on in the sport and is interested. Its that sort of punter the sport needs to get back how though i have no idea.
  3. He hasn't done too badly in business has he? without some of the oldies me included going speedway would be in deep trouble in Britain.
  4. Gollob really looks on it for me,i would love him to win a 2nd title he deserves to will be very tough though.I had took for granted how great he has been over a long period,Emil,Ward,Hampel are going to be there for the long haul.I thought Pedersen and Holder rode really hard for scant reward and Woffinden was tremendously quick.Zagar too was impressive i loved watching him when he was with the Robins and i hope he can build on this.
  5. I am I am scarred for life 'Oldace' now after your antics, please pick on the TWK.
  6. Was checking out some riders history, Uncle Len was one of them wondered if any of you had any more information about him.My uncle saw him ride for Exeter and said he was a very good rider a real racer exciting to watch.I never saw him ride of course but he is one of my speedway heroes a great servant and i loved my trips to the Wick Don't be late Friday at Eight! ?I know great and other terms can be mentioned but this bloke has lasted the test of time seems to have been around for ever. Also didn't he prepare the Wembley track in 81? a real speedway great for me.
  7. Eurosport are doing a great job, i have watched both of the GPS again races from them endless times now.I have alot of the GPS kept from the years on sky and endless DVDs but have rarely watched again.Even my son came in last night watched the Ward v Holder race a few times and said how good it was and the coverage and he has lost interest in speedway.I was a bit sceptical about Eurosport covering them i presumed they were just a low budget outfit but the speedway and also the coverage of snooker (over the year) has been excellent .Apart from live games and Gillette soccer and the speedway i rarely watch Sky now.
  8. Some great racing now Ward what a ride, commentary no comment!
  9. A good post and you could well be right about the reserves 'Lewis,i don't go to Scunny but follow them closely. My belief is you have a team who could all improve there averages. But i have this nagging feeling that you might always have to rely on Josh getting 11 plus most meeting,s which he is capable of but over a long season is a big ask.
  10. Had a bit on Gollob to win,and a bit each way on Puk.
  11. Totally agree the witches have a strong reserve pairing, Scunthorpe should stick to their's longterm it will pay off. Why should Toft and Birks ever now be in the reserve berth, with there ability they are both top 5 riders and if they were not they wouldn't be doing the job they are capable of.Its the top 5 who haven't clicked yet havent had anough heat wins they will though given time.
  12. Halifax Boocock,Carter,Younghusband,Boothroyd. a great track brilliant was it a myth that Charlie Monk never signed autographs and was rather reserved.?
  13. Surprised you don't take your slippers with yeh WK, ? without US old folk going wouldn't speedway be in the mire.?
  14. Great that we have another young Brit pushing on hopefully a few more might get chances(ie) only if they are good anough.
  15. Hyde rd. Collins, Mauger,Olsen, Briggs. Briggo from the back!!
  16. Nobody else 'spin king has mentioned that Micky is a Swindon asset, and i hope he might get a few chances with us he has a good long term future in the sport hopefully with the Robins!
  17. At Swindon. Briggs,s. Lee, T.Jansson, P.Crump.
  18. Is that more 'eric to do with there away form? i believe they will reach the play offs with a bit of luck(no injuries). We will see! the PL looks a very tough league very competetitive indeed.
  19. Stick with Master Bates 'scunny1' if the rest of your side ride to there potential then most weeks you could carry young Bates.I don't see the point in replacing him who short term might score the odd point more but longterm Bates could be a very good rider indeed.
  20. Thanks for that lucifer Sam ,it must be exciting to watch good racing there every week.It would be a great venue for a British Final rather than the same old Wolves every year hope to get along there this year haven't been to Scunny since the big Arthur days.
  21. I always keep an eye on the Scunthorpe results, and the progress of Auty does he ever gate at home much?on the updates it seems all his points are from having to continually come from the back. And how are the two young reserves looking? they both look exciting prospects for the future also tonight i was chuffed young Kerr did a great job for the Diamonds another promising youngster.
  22. ! Out of everyone i have spoke to and heard from only 1 moan can't be bad you must be doing something right Phil.I enjoy the read every week only thing is sometimes i have to get another copy i keep the GP coverage separate pictures are superb!
