  1. You are welcome to him, do you know the bloke personally so why would you want to slag him? sad really.
  2. Oldace the guy was trying to start a debate and gets abuse for his troubles does he deserve it.? If you are not interested in a subject why bother if anyone is the Wally it's you!
  3. I didn't consider Simmo or Jessup as both were on the slide then, after both having great careers.Tatum you are right didn't ride that long but i admired him and Doncaster for going straight into the tough BL as novices and both did great.Certainly for WImbledon i would put Ross in front of Simmo and DJ.
  4. Three of those were my favourites 'keef didn't see much of Peter not that i can remember anyway. Hitchy i was always fascinated with his inside bursts and upright riding style a very exciting rider indeed. Keen can remember like yesterday clashed with Reg Wilson once, and broke his collarbone in 1973 a double header at Blunsdon v Sheffield and Reading.
  5. A great post AD1974, and you have put a great case across i liked both and it is down to everyone's own opinion.Lee for me where his record holds up is that his head to head record from 1977 til 83 is very good against the best.Mauger,Olsen,Penhall,Nielsen,Gundersen,Sigalos,Moran if i hazard a guess and going through the meetings Lee,s career meetings with Collins and Jessup over the years were very close.
  6. A very sad day loved speedway was he a great rider YES he was very much so god bless.
  7. Carter in front of Lee no way head to head Lee was in front, Carter I loved as a rider was very talented and should of had a chance of winning a championship. But Lee especially was a special talent the best I've seen aged 16 and I would say be level with PC who also was a mega talent both of them were in front of Carter but Carter was a talent no doubt about it.
  8. Jason Crump one of my favourite ever riders, couldn't have him in because he only rode for 40 matches 10.50 average for that reason alone couldn't have him in front of Kilby.Same as Autrey a great rider only had the pleasure of seeing him for one season only as well.
  9. What ten riders would you pick to improve there averages? here goes Mellgren,, Bellego, Barrett,KIldemand,Tungate(prem and EL) Dyer, Campton,Toft, Tabaka,Fricke.
  10. On a oversized engine i believe?
  11. I think Bergkamps career was pretty good, he is the best player i have seen live for the gunners.Brady was a great player Henry was a great but for me Dennis and Liam would be in front of him.
  12. Brady would be for me in the top 50 players i ever see, be up there with Berkamp(the best!!) and Henry.
  13. I see him about four times he was exciting i think he broke the track record in 1973 for Sweden at Swindon.I also would have to say both the Morans were dynamite Kelly at Owlerton was amazing.
  14. Well since i have been going to speedway i haven't seen a more exciting rider than Briggo !! Peter Collins comes closest.
  15. Both were great riders the reason they were not included were no fault of there own just the war (ect).Crump in 75 was outstanding and that was his chance gone, but he still had a great career also he had a squeak in PCs win.1982 he was disappointing and i thought he could really ruffle some feathers as in league racing he was still a force to be reconned with.
  16. no order. J Crump, Young, Sanders, Holder, (Crump senior/ Adams) could not leave either out.!
  17. The ones i see Crump,(class,)Street,Eide,Iversen,Plant,Herne,Johansson. The best? Crump,Nordin,Harrysson,Eide,Golden,Street,Iversen.
  18. What are the Robins best all-time 1/7 line up.? Here goes (no order) Briggo, Crump,Ashby,Adams,Kilby,Broadbanks,White. my favourite 7 are( no order)Briggo, Wellie, Crumpie, Leigh, Killer, Crash,Hitch a mention also for mad dog? Shawn McConnell great value!!
  19. Didn't the great Mad Wellie Malc Holloway whip Buzz Burrows,s one night? i think he scored 20 pts? Both were great value and there contribution to speedway was huge.
  20. Never ever see Fundin ride which was a shame my uncle did and said Fundin at his peak was awesome. He did say that he see Craven beat him at Hyde Rd and often Ove hugged the line a lot and i believe Craven had a good head to head record against him?Briggoe's record against him i think was quite even.
  21. I have been thinking for months of getting rid of sky our bill now is just too much not great value.I really only watch the football and speedway and other stuff i get on the laptop. We have only kept it because my two kids said no, maybe this will sway it.Does this mean now British speedway won't have to bow down too the GP series? I will miss it but it is not the end of the world might be able to get regular streams from somewhere.
  22. I only see Barrow ride once at Milton Keynes, i think Charlie Monk rode my favourite Barrow riders were Joe/Tom Owen Mike Sampson and Mark Courtney.
  23. God some line up that, you have missed no one out at all!! maybe Johnson.? That is my biggest regret never being able too ever see Briggo at the great Hyde Rd, my trips there were the best speedway days ever. The Mauger meeting ( with 6 in a race was awesome Nielsen outstanding on the day it was a great day out also Carter was a sight there too. My top 5 ever would be 1. Briggs. 2.Mauger 3.Fundin 4.Olsen 5.Nielsen
  24. Thanks Hawkeyenz i can vaguely remember that now at Exeter, also remember now Chris Pusey riding for Weymouth around the same time.Flood could of been very good how good? who knows a shame really him and Mick Mckeon who finished early could of had good long shale careers.
  25. Adams, Jonsson,Karlsson,Loram,RIco,Karger,Goodwin.
