  1. Hopefully not. Heard it before the season finished. Not heard it since.
  2. So a single rider can cause that much chaos to a club. I suppose if James is taking your abuse then its saving someone else. James has now got a reputation, even when he makes a great (legal) start he will get penalised. Thanks for keeping me up to date on the team building for next year. Much appreciated. As for the money grabbers comment - if you could earn more money to do the same job somewhere else would you do it? Its not money grabbing its financial sense. Make the the most money you can in what is going to be a very short career. Especially when you only earn over roughly 7 months of the year. Again thanks for keeping us all up to date with Glasgow's financial situation. I really don't know where we would be with out you. You continual posting on Glasgow's financial situation paints a picture of you. Not a pretty one either. As I have said before, it seems certain people would rather see the sport run down, or shut down, than see some teams do well. The promotion at Glasgow have done a fantastic job on but MOSTLY off the track. They should be commended for trying to make the sport as big and successful as possible not continually scrutinised. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't listen to them if they told you how to spend your money...
  3. Agree with most of what has been said. Riders digging at the gate is a pet hate. Could each track get a solid surface starting gate? This would make all four start positions even and give the riders nothing to dig. One "big" league with 16/18 teams would be great with a development league. One meeting home and away. A proper 4 team tournament with qualification rounds. The table toppers win the league after the set matches. Have a playoff tournament/KO cup as the other "big" trophy Two aspects I would take from the ice-hockey. Have a "playoff type weekend". A festival of speedway for all fans at the NSS, possibly KO Cup final and League(s) Riders championship? Live streaming from all tracks. As much as the updaters do a great job, I would happily pay £8/£10 to watch away meetings that I can't make online. Have an exclusion zone of 50 miles so it wouldn't stop local fans going to the track. I'm sure I'd watch more than just my team too.
  4. Totally agree regarding DB. It is shambolic. Not a fan of Wolves though. Too much of a monarchs connection there.
  5. Heard that he was meant to be riding tonight for BV. If it is the case of the rider picking and choosing his meetings he should put under the scrutiny of the powers that be? This is yet another problem caused by doubling(trebling) up/down. I'm sure our management team won't be taken for a ride.
  6. Just catching up with the scores. Great result for Ippo, getting the Moanarchs up to the thickly bit then riding away
  7. What a performance last night. Well done Ipswich. Thankfully us Tigers fans have a good sense of humour. The wheels fell off weeks ago(Berwick away) and now the axles are about to go too. The home losses have been hard to take. I fear too many riders are looking at next year's average. Hopefully a new back bone of the team for next year.
  8. Heavy showers that were forecast have changed to light rain on the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648579
  9. The agenda or jealousy among certain fans towards the owners of Glasgow speedway is getting very very old. Yes we have been very lucky to have great owners that developed our stadium and improve the match day experience. Yes we have probably been able to attract a better standard of rider due to the facilities etc. Why can't people just be happy that there are people wanting the sport to succeed? The vast majority of the money has been spent on the stadium, everyone will agree it was well needed and the result of that money is there for all to see. Would you prefer if Glasgow were on the brink of going under and probably be lost to the sport?
  10. Most amusing. Could get a job as warm up act for Alex Salmond's comedy show.
  11. Easy 20+ win for the English Tigers. The Scottish ones seem to be free falling.
  12. I'll go for an optimistic 20 point defeat on the 31st.
  13. James is riding at Owlerton tonight so should be fit for this meeting
  14. Was just about to say, 'I wonder what Scottish club JS will be riding for next year'.
  15. They announced that both teams agreed to call it off last night. Can't see that happening today
  16. Forecast looking good. Pretty sure both teams will want 15 heats
  17. We also remember getting fined for fielding and "under strength" team after winning away from home. Its all in the past now. Lets move on and look forward to the rest of what should be an exciting season.
  18. I see Glasgow are back down at Redcar mid-August. why not race the remaining races from last week then?
