  1. Take the poker out yer a*se soft lad.
  2. There should be more action like this. Staged or naturally occurring. it would get more people through the door. Let's not forget, it it a dangerous sport, the stakes are high and emotions run a bit. How things like this don't happen more baffles me. Look at the discussion it has initiated here. Bit of drama, should be more of it. Get some real characters back in the game. Does it matter who was right or wrong? The main thing is no one was hurt. We have been entertained, they have done their jobs.
  3. We will struggle to hit 40 tonight. Even if Hagon and Hodder decide to race . anyone heard of any mysterious breakdowns on the M6 yet?
  4. Self indulgent pish?? Your take on my post is wide of the intended mark. We are spoiled now at Ashfield, Stevie wonder can see that. He can also see that the racing at Armadale is chronic. Ashfield obviously was very poor at one point. No one really complained about that as everyone won here. The previous promotion started the ball rolling with the new track at huge expense in 2010. Massive risk was taken as the football club owned the ground at the time. What do you disagree with in my post? If I was the Edinburgh promotion I wouldn’t be sinking money into something that could be pulled from under my feet. Even when they had the bit of land at J3 earmarked the wanted to put a similar track in it to maintain home track advantage. it is also very obvious when Edinburgh are doing well as you travel through to the west in great numbers. When you aren’t, it’s is the regular good guys that trap.
  5. Think there are two reasons they don’t change it. They don’t own the stadium and that they don’t want to relinquish the home track advantage. The track needs to change to make the product better. The problem would be is that the Edinburgh fans (mostly) will only show up for a winning/successful team.
  6. The racing not improving till the later heats happens everywhere, yes even Ashfield. I have made this point elsewhere, every rider should get two fast laps before the real racing commences. At least just to settle any nerves. It was the best meeting I have seen at Armadale for a long time, even with the high number of fallers. Agree with most of your opinions on riders. Your promotion will give Grahn time the way they done with Kye. Don’t think he’ll ever be that good but there is something there. I also don’t think the promotion are as ruthless as they once were. Cluff is coming on, he has a good guy in the pits with him so that will help. Unfortunately, a lot of riders are looking at their averages for next year. Sam hasn’t come on much this year. Mario has shown in glimpses but there are too few fixtures for any consistency to be gained.
  7. What a performance. Nick Morris was phenomenal. Big thanks to Paco. What a complete clown. Show boating twice going round the 3/4 bend then giving it big licks on his celebration lap. Well done KJP for not giving up.
  8. You may call it an agenda, I will call it my opinion. His decisions over the years have been beyond baffling. He has no awareness of how the team should line up against certain teams. Harris at number 3 is insanity IMO. Last night is a perfect example, you either put Harris at 5 to try and negate Kye Thomson and give us a very strong end too the meeting or put a sacrificial lamb (Hausl) in there, let KT run amok and deal with the rest of the team. It’s not a slant on Leon as he has been magnificent this year. Giving up a 5-1 in 13 is scandalous.
  9. Scudded by a guest and calamity Brown again. Difficult enough riding against a decent team but when your number 1 gets outscored by a reserve and the team manager is absolutely clueless it impossible
  10. Don’t want to see Kilndt anywhere near a Tigers race suit again.
  11. Don’t want to see Kilndt anywhere near a Tigers race suit again.
  12. Don’t be nasty to dwarfs. Cluff mis-read(if he can) the room/stadium.
  13. Not a classic meeting. Armadale still has people beat before they arrive unfortunately. Edinburgh will never change it for that reason alone. Another factor is that the majority of the fans would rather see a skelping than a close entertaining meeting. Attendance relates directly with success. we’ll see this tonight at Ashfield, big crowd will be through as they will smell blood.
  14. Surely there is a case for each rider to get a couple of laps to try the track before the meeting starts? This would prevent things like this happening. Riders out individually or teams get a 5-10 session beforehand. The reason matches generally get better are that riders figure the track out. Surely it would be better for the sport if they were prepared at heat one. I know people will say, riders should know etc etc but if track prep is unpredictable why risk it. Give the riders a chance to entertain the fans
  15. Really liked the 18 formula used in 93(?). Two reserve races helped bringing them on. Would probably be too expensive to run now, and we wouldn’t have enough riders. we really need to get the training track used to develop young local talent. On a related note, the training track looked immaculate last night.
  16. Track was like a typical Glasgow lady, very wet and a little rough. Track was there to be attacked. A half hour delay and the meeting would of been complete
  17. Take a bow Freddy Hodder. I don’t think anyone seen that coming. Phenomenal performance
  18. The odds for a Tigers/Croatia double must be sky high. Tigers lucky to hit 30.
  19. The Scotland game being on at 02:00 on Sunday may have a part to play in it too. It’s a shame the bus isn’t going. Still expect fairly healthy crowd of Tigers there on Saturday. Hopefully a better performance than last time.
  20. 2 things to save the season. Tell Meredith not to enter a G postcode. Keep Brown away from anything to do with the team.
