  1. We can accept direct replacement for late injury but not a rejigging of the team as happened with Lakeside. R/R had been declared for last nights match not a replacement. Incidently, I am a Leicester fan for my sins and I accept that in this match, Leicester were not good enough!
  2. I was on the back straight near the pits gate and clearly saw it happen. Magic was slightly ahead when he pulled a loker and his back wheel hit Jasons front wheel. Unfortunately, it happened in the worst possible place for Tony Steele to see clearly. The only things I enjoyed about this meeting were Magics performance and the fact that Leicester kept it close: otherwise it was a long drawn boring event!!
  3. What happened to Middlo's "one more indiscretion and he's out"; or words to that effect?
  4. So, who is in for Birks who was in for Auty! Complicated isn't it!!
  5. I was thinking the same. Of course it could have occured during the time of the Collins family! Congratulations to Dan and Joe on their first and third in the 125s.
  6. Harris admitted that he caused the offence when Doyle was excluded. The riders that quit Leicester last season also said that they were quitting British Speedway and so why is it particarily Norrie at fault. I think Norrie is a much better TM than last season. As far as speaking the truth, supporters moan when they are told nothing but then moan that the riders will not like it when he speaks his mind in public.
  7. A Leicester supporter went to live with Phil Bass in Australia. I dont know if she is still there though
  8. If you arrive as early as that, there would be no problem parking on the speedway car park!!
  9. Has anyone included Jason Doyles injury in their calculations - He was throwing flowers into the crowd!!!
  10. And doubling up! The problem is that when BV have a full team, It is possible that Leicester wouldn't. Its a balancing act which is difficult to sort out.
  11. And he was always prepared to help less experienced riders!
  12. i've done that for the past three years!!
  13. I think the sive of the support for Cradley is amazing for this day and age, but as was seen at Leicester, last Friday, there are some messy supporters amongst those fans. I have never seen as much litter left behind them after the match as there was that evening.
  14. David Hemsley indicated at Leicesters final meeting that he felt the sport has problems. Too many people are doing whats best for them and not the sport
  15. There is no reason for this as it is covered in the current rules but the referees generally do not apply it. The riders must be ready to race within the 2 minutes and if they are not then they should be excluded but most referees switch off the 2 minute light when the riders are in the vicinity of the start but not ready to race.
  16. As I have said before, my feelings are that if the planning consent for the site was not broken then there should not be a case to answer but we do not know what conditions wer in the consent at the time.
  17. Congratulations to the Thompson Twins on their performance on Sunday.
  18. I cant understand this - one person is complaining that there will be a long break between meetings; then another complains that there might be a late start for the second meeting - you just cant win!!!
  19. I have said on other threads that I feel some of the spills in the televised match at Leicester were down to the fact that Sky would not Glyn work on the track fully at each grading break. He was blading and tyre packing but up until heat ten, after the spill, he was stopped halfway through and therefore the outside of the bends were not done. At one point Doyle was struggling to keep his front wheel down around the outside but had full control where the track had been packed. There was no problem during the first four laps.
  20. Norman Storer and Ray Wilson. Norm rode the white line while Ray covered the outside. They rode as a pairing for several years even shared their testimonal!
  21. Congratulations to Joe and Dan on their contined success in the `125cc Junior Championships.
