2013 British Youth Championship
Skodaman replied to Mimmo's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting at Leicester. I thought that amongst others, Tom Brennan was a real prospect for the future. It was a pity that he took a tumble in the 125 final. -
Message To The Leicester Promotor
Skodaman replied to robert72's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The Redcar team manager said how good the track was even after the heavy loss inflicted by his team the other week. -
I did say that they could be reduced, I didnt say it would rid us of them. The same idea could be also used for rider replacement.
-
The number of guests could be reduced. eg If two teams are due to meet and they both have their No 1s out, this could be a case where juniors could be brought in and the teams would still be balanced. Obviously, each rider in each team would move up one place in status - Rider with the 2nd best average would ride at 1 etc.

Not impressed. Take away the season review which was covered in more detail in the Star and you have very little. How ae they going to fill subsequent issues? This issue has four more pages than the current Star but the Star has much more text due to the smaller font size and lack of white space. I have ordered one years issues and so I will make final judgement after I have recieved all of them.

Leicester V Sheffield 30th March
Skodaman replied to TMW's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think that the track seemed absolutely saturated possibly due to the recent weather. Early days - lets see how it settles. The Leicester riders appeared to show a lack of competitive practice around the new shaped track although they seemed to adapt as the meeting progressed. -
Alan indicated that the BSPA hadn't decided on a scheme but he also said that Leicester was the wrong track to trial a system as the track drains well. As I have said before, if you have covers, the water still has to go somewhere and if the drainage can't cope, you will have a moat arpound the white line. When Berwick used covers last season, they still had an inconsistent track due to seepage througjh the gaps between the covers. A patchy track can be a dangerous track.

I did but if you want to know what went on you should have attended.
-
Why do you think that? By the way, The Brandonapolis has been called off therefore you have plenty of time to visit the meeting tonight and ask if he has turned down several offers.
-
The track for the opening three meetings was abysmal. It was arter those meetings that Gareth disappeared and Glyn was reinstated. Could Gareth have been the major problem then. Dh told me himself that he was not happy with the track preparation for the first three meetings.

If you look at the time I posted you would have realised that it was not last Friday that I meant being as the meeting is at 5pm and I posted at 7:05pm. From your remarks, I guess that you will not be going - what an opportunity missed.

It's gone very quiet!!

How many of the regular Leicester contributors of this forum will be at the clubhouse, on Friday evening, to ask the management about all the concerns that they have?
-
I believe that Glyn said on this forum some time ago that the bends were to be made 2m at the apex. Please correct me if I am wrong

Robert, Tsunami is former northern promoter who, I believe, is still involved with his former club.
-
It appears that you are well connected as you know a lot of people.
-
I agree, personally, I think that Lewis Kerr is a better prospect than Lewis Blackbird.

An excellent post!

The comment was not directly at you personally, there are several comments from people that have criticised the work and your posting seemed appropriate for my posting. I apologise if you have been offended but there is no reason for the abusive reply from you.
