  1. well I for one was really struggling to work out the source for the facebook link...... who are this Berwick Speedway Ltd running that page? wink
  2. And there was me thinking that a speedway club might be grateful for any effort to spread the word and improve its chances as a business....
  3. I see it stated a couple of posts up that he only married last summer. I thought that although that may secure residency and working rights under spousal visa it was not possible to apply for a passport for a number of years after (3??)
  4. dont have to look back far for examples - both Rob Lambert and Adam Ellis I believe only rode a few meetings in NL in the season prior to entering the main league. Without doing so neither couldve entered on the 3 point assessment.
  5. For weeks many of you Pussycats have been looking for an excuse to bin Lambert - perhaps now youve found it.......
  6. Plenty of choice - Ipswich have even signed a spare just in case. wink
  7. if aussies are now a 5 perhaps they all are from wherever.....
  8. From the radio snippet I had assumed the signing was as an asset but reading the website it doesnt seem so. Agree with others that a loan is a strange one just as a No8.
  9. Radio Suffolk report that we have made a new signing with an eye to the future. Danny Hume (hope I have that right - apologies if not) from Rye. 19 ex MX rider.
  10. I think last year was much more about needs must to make the top 5 fit than 'embracing the concept in duplicate' and now its a convenient deflection strategy for you.
  11. A bold and attractive pricing - much lower than that I thought it may be set at (and I considered my guess decent value) Lets hope the turn out justifies the move.
  12. Its those extra fingers all you lot in Norfolk have - plays havoc when it comes to counting ! wink
  13. many times the catchphrase "speedway is a £10 sport" has been qouted on here.£50 for the 2 days would effectively be that in this case. Given the status of the meeting as well it doesnt seem unreasonable to me
  14. 36 heats a day - lots of points to pay out for. Saturday is effectively 3 x 12 heat meetings so if you were buying a £50 2 day ticket would be the equivalent of £15 for your own teams meeting and £5 for each of the neutral meetings. Sunday a 20 heat individual and 16 heat final each of which would be £20 as single meetings so £25 for the 2 would seem very reasonable IMO I certainly cant see it being less than my £50 2 day / £30 each single day.
  15. I would expect a 2 day ticket will be priced attractively perhaps £50 with single days at £30 a piece. Above that level becomes a stretch particularly for couples/families.
  16. given how the team line ups (particularly successful sides) change so much year on year Id say seeding the hosts is a better option.
  17. I agree HKP - would expect the Saturdays to be nearly as popular as the bank holidays to offset any financial downside. Hopefully we will see better meetings as a result too.
  18. Is that official or just what you hope it to be?Cant see the showground letting say hundreds camp for free.
  19. re the campsite - No doubt the EOES is experienced in general but I was thinking more of 12 teams fans all in one field after many hundreds of pints!!
  20. Will be interesting to see the price as 72 races / effectively 5 meetings could be some outlay. Also has to be question marks as to how the surface will stand up to it in what could well be hot condtions. The campsite likely to be carnage too!!
  21. whilst I can see Porsing being good value against his starting average to predict a potential PL top 3 rider would take some improvement. He hasnt shown anything to expect him to be in the ranks along with King Kennett Stead etc
  22. I expect to see at least one change to this original 7 by the time the LCup group matches are done....
  23. Ive been told that Speedway Star is stating today that PK has agreed a PL deal.....
