The switch does highlight another issue with redeclarations. Boro are timing this before Perry obtains his new average (due to rise from 3 to 5.58 as from 15/5) Before they even ride as a1-7 the team total could actually be above 44. Totally within the rules as they stand but not right IMO. I think on redeclaration the whole of the proposed 1-7 should have their averages updated to the current position. And before I'm accused of having a go at the pussycats (I know I have history for that! wink) it is a point I have made consistently previously as a general point not just now.

makes sone good sense and also has sound mathmatical principle behind it.It is considered that by discarding the top and bottom say 5% of scores gives a more accurate reflection of a sample. So if using 20 match rolling you would only use the middle 18 scores. However many struggle with a basic average let alone rolling averages and are even less likely im sure to cope with the example i set out.

lets see then if Rob G is a man of honour (I dont doubt he is btw)On any redeclaration whilst Holub is under 5 he should only build a team to a limit that would keep Scunny under 42.50 if Holub was assessed as 5. Eg as he is now listed as 3 only build to 40.50 This way he can show he acts within the spirit of the rules and not just manipulate because he can. No other team is in the position where their assessed rider can drop to 3 so there is no chance Scunny can lose out taking this moral stance. All in the best interests of British Speedway surely???

Ive looked at the showground calender for Tuesdays and there could be a problem with other events planned - a morris dancers convention snail racing a striped paint demonstration a lace doily exhibition a Blue Peter bring and buy sale an antique tool display a transgender therapy meeting (although that may be swapped with a date they feel more in tune with) The showground see all these as higher priority than the speedway so there are concerns for me that it work.
