  1. So basically we are headed for (at best) a semi professional set up I the UK See above - if that is true and we can't even attract and afford up and coming U21 riders what chance those in the category you mention I'm coming to the conclusion that there will not be any common ground between enough clubs to be able to get ANYTHING agreed let alone work UK Speedway is f@c£Ed barring a miracle influx of cash from a currently unforseen siurce
  2. Yet when questions are raised about how one big league could be made to work it is always trotted out that we will just get in 20-30 riders from abroad like its as easy as clicking your fingers.......
  3. Would you really expect him to say otherwise at this point...... (and rightly so)
  4. I refer the honourable gentleman to my previous answer
  5. It makes sense to anyone with even half a brain Unfortunately there are still a few who don't meet the criteria
  6. At that point i dont think there was any intention of not being in charge for 2027 Quite the opposite - I believe deals were already agreed to the point that without such a dramatic unexpected shift we could have been hearing Cooper Rushen announced for a different East Anglian team today for example..... I think the original threat/refusal to be part of a 5 team league was meant more as a bluff with the hope to push towards either a club moving up or pushing for a talks towards a joining into one There mustve been quite an unexpected response to the move to cause Chris to feel his only option was to sell
  7. Come on guys there's no need to be taking barbed swings at each other - that's what Kings Lynn is for

  9. First big problem - are there 12 reasonable standard Championship riders not already contracted to a Premiership club? Second big problem - it's an horrific idea
  10. Still no one putting anything up that contradicts my thoughts - just saying! Rather like the "let's just have one big league at Championship level" brigade that can't accept the true standard it will most likely be Only responses are name calling to deflect from the fact that they can't show I'm not right
  11. Just a bit of scrappy maths We will use your listed riders and assume 4x 8 pointers drop and you find 20 new foreigners and avoid having to use new 2 pointers So in your absolute perfect scenario it would enable an increase in team limit from my estimate if 30 to somewhere in the region of 33.5 If you make all the new foreigners 5 instead of 4 you can pretend it's 35
  12. You say "you could easily get 20" new foreigners - if you could I think you would've seen a few more already (but we haven't - probably due to costs If you need to use 28 2 or 2-3 point riders someone like Smith at the upper end of that range is very likely to be a second string even if by default
  13. See my reply to Ben91 - ots not what I would want but I see little other option I'm not anti Championship, I don't blame teams for not wanting to step up - equally no one wants the scenario I set out but it is the reality of one big league unless there is a miraculous influx of higher standard riders At the moment I see that as inevitable
  14. No I don't expect he will bit 8n one big league there will be 2 NDL 2 pointers at reserve and those such as Smith will be second strings. Team totals will need to be in the region of 30 (assuming 7 man teams retained)
