Correct it's not hard really . the stats have been quite clear that the old tac changed the overall result of match far more that the new rule ever has. you don't have to very clever to work that out .

So as has been said if had been about silly tac subs who would have stopped going years ago . if fans don't go because of double points rule but went when the tac sub was around then they are worth worrying about as there views are hypocritical . Not seen one fan said everything is Hunky Dory or there nothing to worry about so your telling lies to start off with . what has been said if going moan about rules at least come with something that is workable bar going back to the old days so a few over 70 years come back or a brain dead idea to rid the uk of the remaining riders that the fans pay money to see .There are clubs in the pl who no star riders in there side who find themselves in big trouble due to small crowds .. Surely even you worked out the old sub when you could used many times when you were only six points behind affected many more match results than the double points rule ...bar that as I said both are mickey mouse .

I never put the offside rule forward at all ...i put forward things that were mickey mouse in f1 and cricket and it has little effect on the crowd and could put forward many more . As i already said if you were taking your friends in 1975 and there were guests and rr then they as much chance as asking the same questions or being put off as they have now . I would expect if they saw a great meeting with guests and rr i am sure they have more chance of coming back than watching a crap match with both sides with teams with there full 1-7 Speedway has always seem mickey mouse ...sadly the old fans look over that fact ...you can find as many mickey mouse rules when speedway was massive as you can now .

As I pointed out other sports have stupid rules as well ...if the perception was that newbies were put off by rules that make the sport mickey mouse then cricket f1 and a host of other sports would be having the same problems as speedway . Perception might have changed on cock fighting and Bear beating etc but I doubt if it's changed on stupid rules that make sports look mickey mouse If a newbie went to speedway in 1975 and you told that said person that there were guests rr etc then you got as much chance or that that person perceiving it as Mickey Mouse as you would if told a fan the same thing in 2015 .

Not really you said that speedway fans were not coming because of the silly rules as I said other sports have them and it does not stop them don't the fans used perception in those sports ? .. if a guest rule is stupid now then then is still was in the 1970's .. there is no reason why the perception would be any different

Silly rules are silly rules ...look at F1 the best drivers driving the best cars having a head over the slower ones ...I find that laughable . I find the cricket review system laughable ..it shows you out lbw but if at times you can be given not out and so and so on . As I said before we had guests and rr when the crowds were massive and the fans never worried about it so why would they be worried about it now . Did these fans never play other sports in the 70's was is not a alien concept then ? The bottom line is as the standard in British Speedway dropped after it fell behind Sweden and Poland and so have the crowds .

The question was not if new fans would ask about guests and and rr but would they come again because of it .other sports have silly rules but if the action is good they will come again .so not sure why speedway would not be the same .

yet again why newcomers be worried by guests etc . when i went to watch swindon town i took a group of people from work who really enjoyed the match and wanted to go again thou there were 7 loan players playing in the match . it just a myth that people are worried about guests and one person in a bib when they go to speedway for the first time

I know you don't go to speedway anymore but trust me the crowd is anything but sophisticated ...listening to most of the speedway fans on here mainly the old ones to be fair I expect bringing back second halfs and singing 2 4 6 8 would be the sort of think they would like to bring back

Great post Sparky ..another one of Speedways myths that New fans are put off by Guests and the Rules etc ..as you say it would be a long time before they started to worry about that side of the sport .

The one thing for sure is that you never learn hence why you repeat your mistakes time and again ,,yet again this topic out you come again with something that you said about million times that has no logic and is just plain stupid ...are give it about a week before you say the same again I doubt there is anyone happy with guests or double up riders but yet again you don't come with anything that is better or workable money wise .
