But you don't the limitations as don't know what sort of crowds you are going to get . Every time you have to weight up what you might pay a rider in the hope that the extra numbers will make it pay . Little point putting out a cheap team then no one turning up as you can lose more money doing it that way

What did you expect him to say ? this is the last season as clark is going to stitch us up and not build a stadium once the houses get built ? no doubt the reports in the other speedway towns when Clark and co said they was building a speedway stadium were correct ...no doubt you got took in by that as well ?

Spot on ...the gp's have been one the good things to happen to speedway in the last 20 years ...but sadly you got a couple of people who still have a axe to grind and still find fault .

Any why do you think that is ...because they got the product right then the sponsors came in meaning more money and bigger crowds ..the standard got higher because of the extra money and because more players became full time . In 1993 Darts was dead in the water a bit like speedway was but that has all changed now ... I see Hearn is doing a great job with Snooker after it was also dead in the water as well .. the .trouble with speedway is that it is a closed shop and the likes of frost etc get forced out by the old guard .

The bottom line no one from the promoters to the speedway press to the tv is allowed to say nowt negative about speedway otherwise they are kicked or shut out . For years it's been crying out for someone just to be honest about what is going on

It's almost impossible to say that Sky Sports has not benefited the sport ..just because speedway has gone downhill during it's time on sky there is school of thought that it could have been in an even worst place without it . The biggest problem for me is keep putting meetings on off race nights like Lakeside v Belle Vue on a Monday with no crowd there . this is when live speedway does the sport no favours
