Has it ? the way you get into has changed as you no longer have to be champions ...so what we have is a comp called the champions league that has teams in it who are not champions who also play a final to decide it ..I am amazed with that in mind that there has not been a riot .

Surely that defeats the object of the plays offs ? Because a play off meaning not winning the league would be not watched by anyone

And what do think happens in rugby ? they used the same system and can't remember a riot yet

Why would there be a riot ? if they knew the rules before the start of the season then people would accept it just like they do in all the other sports where play offs take place ...cant remember many riots when a 5th place team beats a 3rd place team to gain promotion in football or any in Rugby union or league that used the same system .

Not saying your wrong but I think we are all guilty of looking back at the past and thinking it was better ....to me with speedway the racing is much the same but the feel is not the same as the crowds have lost there desire and passion .

Speedway has always been follow the leader nowt has changed ..people have always said the same it's nothing new ...if follow the leader racing was killing motor sport F1 would be dead .

Good point you only to look at Rye House ,Glasgow etc to see that weekend racing brings in massive crowds .

Yet it again it was not forced it was there choice as I said they just like Boro and Cov they were not willing to take part in the league under certain rules ... Stand up For Cov and Boro .at the agm ...a perfect time to sort things out ...but what they do ? just helped Ford and his vendetta v Cov ...once they done that any other things they had to say meant nothing .

The main thing that has changed in Speedway is the passion of the fans ....in the old days that always made the match look and feel better than is was ...it was like the other night after losing to Poole I really did not care to much and that sort of feeling is what I sense at most tracks these days .

To be fair it's imposible to tell ..for we know without it speedway could be in a a lot worse state if not for sky ..it's silly to suggest thou people have left the sport because of the play offs double points etc

For once I going to agree with my old mate Sidney to be fair on watching it on tv it's good but being at the match it's like watching paint dry and it's kills the feel of the meeting with all the hanging about .

No one force Eastie Belle Vue to say they were going pull out of the league, the bottom line is they were the same as cov and Boro they were not willing to take part in a league under certain rules . Nothing has changed since 2009 but after writeing that piece it makes Douglas and co even worst than the others .

And ? they were willing to let Boro and Cov go under ...Them not getting there way is the same as Eastie and Belle Vue, both not willing to take part in the league if certain rules were in place

They sided with Poole on the other rules as well ...even thou they knew that is was all about Ford giving teaching Cov a lesson ..if they have not got along with ford then maybe cov and boro would have not walk out ...the bottom line is there as bad as anyone else as they have helped Ford do his dirty work
