Why was the old rule not a joke ? but somehow the new rule is ? don't just say stuff explain why ...are you telling me that being able to bring in your number one and Two in heat 8 in the old days was not mickey mouse ?

Because it was ...this is explained to every time on this subject ..so not sure yet again why your asking again .

If we were honest I don't think we will feel the same thou Tai was born in the uk I think a lot of fans don't look at him as a True Brit a bit Like Lenox Lewis etc thats just the way we brits think ...There also can be doubt that Tai would never have got the chance to be World Champ this year if had not been a brit and got the wildcard but also having that Aussie mindset has no doubt been a big help to him as well . Fair to him most never even gave him a chance of being in the top 8 let alone winning it and I think he has been a deserved winner.

Agree with most of that to me all teams should have to have a junior team say of 4 riders and have a 7 heat match after each senior match v there counterparts I think that also be welcome by the crowd as well ...to me it's always been quite simple get it right at grass roots level and the rest will look after itself

Not slagging off anyone just pointed out why it's has it's name ..but yet after explaining it you come up with the childish and silly so called El jibe again ... why people get so hung up on a name that just explains it the top division in terms of team strength in the uk is most odd ...

It's call the Elite because it's the top division in the Uk nothing more nothing less ...why fans have such a hang up about the name and even more so when most of them come from a league who name makes no sense of all is laughable . To get a name like the Elite you don't have to have the best riders in the world you don't even have to have the best riders in a uk all you need is to have the strongest set of the sides as it's team event .

The Elite league name Would pass with flyingl colours unlike the Premier league name .

Paul Hudson was pretty good at Reading intill they closed down .

Of course i care about British Speedway haveing 4 or 5 Brits who are not very good will mean crowds will go down to nl level and teams will go under ..be a great day for speedway thou 4 people you can't turn a corner being cheer on by 150 fans .

When did I say that Poles have got an advantage over a brit ? ..giving more time for brits to practice is one of the things I was talking about .that is the sort of thing we should be doing rather than giving them charity and the easy life by giving team places they not earned like you want .Yet again not sure want Lambert being based in Germany has to do with him getting team places in the uk I expect people will be biteing his hand off next year for him to ride for them .

Poole fans want to watch Top riders and willing to pay the money to watch them they don't want to watch sub standard riders even if the admission is ten pounds .This is the point you miss not everyone wants cheaper speedway to watch a lower standard ..the point about sky is a silly as lot of sports would be knackered without the sky money not just speedway .

What young riders are Sweden producing at the moment ? nothing wrong with our leagues we have plenty of league racing to give our boys a chance. No doubt Aussies have great young riders because of how they run there league ..oh I forgot they have not got a league ...it's quite clear why the uk has fell behind it's because we don't get enough riders stated the sport in the first place the problem is at grass roots level and has zero to do with riders getting team places . if you got talent you will find your own way to the top in the uk .

So as I said seeing that 15 heats were already in place the rule was brought into save money as it has done ..the point about saving money by having two more heats is another debate and has nothing to do with subject we are talking about .

You can never gage how many there might have been over the years without it ...to me it's kept speedway alive I know the set of people who I watched it with came back to the sport because they saw it on sky and got the bug back .

Spot on ..Speedway is never going to go down in price no matter if there are 7 brits in the side .

I doubt it ..all it will do it mean less people will know about the sport and even less new fans

Was it introduced when there was 13 or 15 heats ?

OF course it would put the crowds down replaceing good riders with riders who are half a lap behind is hardly going to make people pay £17 ...As I said before there plenty of leagues and ways for Brits to come through without given out hand outs and charity .

I Expect a change that brings in more crowds not less ...that is where speedway has gone wrong never every idea put forward means that there be less crowds and more lost fans to the sport ..

Never got this about sky ..surely the old tac sub rule made the matches close and that had nothing to with sky ....the idea was brought in to replace the old rule because teams were paying to much money to there top riders when they took extra rides .

Should never happen , teams places should be given on merit not charity plus the bigger teams would just paid bigger money to the better brits also what happens when one of these brits get injured ..yet again another idea that put the crowds down and loses more money that it would save .
