Yes I was on the 300 -1, the longest price winner I am ever likely to get ....I expect if it was any other team rather than Poole and being bottom of the league the price would be a lot longer ...I guess we about to see if thee changes in the next few days will make them stronger. The other year when they try to do the same it all went wrong .

Took a risk today and put some cash on Poole at 14-1( now 10-1) even thou they are bottom ..it's a bit mad but maybe with Robert m back and some more changes they can get on a run and sneak into the play offs like cov have done twice in recent years .

One of the best things to happen to UK in the last few years to was give the prize of the wildcard to the winner or best placed behind the GP rider . Without it the meeting will go back to where it was a few years ago... pointless .

Correct on both counts ...we not allowed to know how the system works because it would give the game away and the bookies would be on to him ! . Of course the fact is there is no system he just looks at each match like the rest of us and tries to figure out how many rides someone has who might take the rr and who might be in heat 15, just like rider match bets .

No the bet was done but Poole got beat in the Play off final by Cov so it was a loser ..Mickthe muppett had told us beforehand that is was his biggest bet he had ever had thou of course he now tells us he made a profit that year using his system that takes no notice of odds or who rides for both teams .

A couple of seasons ago vc bet put prices up for Poole to win the double not sure if they ever had a outright market on the Ko cup .

Yep Us who gamble tend only to go on about are winners I can be as guilty as the next person ..These head to head matches and rider point scores thou not my cup of tea are the same as any other bet sometimes your going to see a good chance to win money ,to just say that it is a stupid bet because your not sure how many rides someone might take is crazy ...For example if Woffy was put up at say 5/6 to score over 7 points last night we would all be on it in a flash we would not be put off by not being sure how many rides he might take. The example giving about Leigh Adams missing the last heat so he could not Score over 12 is another stupid one ,if you think he might do that then don't bet on him scoreing over 12 no one is forcing you to do so .

What has that got to do with your system and when did I say that if both teams having + starts was not good odds ? you just made that up yourself, have you the post when I ever said that ? why do try to change subject all the time with made up stuff ? The biggest laugh of all is that Mick was telling people to back Finnish riders before in head to head betting in the world cup at Kings lynn a could of seasons ago . No doubt if he saw Hans to score over 5 tonight he would not take it as he would be unsure on how many rides he might take :rofl:

What are you on about now ...when your betting on a normal speedway match part of the skill when making the bet is trying to figure out how many rides a rider might take if a reserve will take 6 or 7 riders who can take the rr etc etc ...Your telling people that when having a bet on a normal speedway you don't look at any of that .....

Most of the nation do bet on it thou ...and just like any other sport they lose .

Mick had his biggest bet ever on Poole that year to win the league the funny thing was he never posted after the final intill march the next year ..ever after this and all the other losers he's given out he's still thinks people should listen to his advice !!
