do me a favour buddy and read the thread and posts properly!! Mr Shovlar said that Jacobs isnt good enough to ride in the top flight. Quite obviously that is total rubbish as his average of over 5 in a harder league proves. Yes nobody has signed him as his average is probably to high to get a place in the top flight and if you read things you would realise he wants to ride in both leagues as he cant afford to just ride in one. Im fighting no losing battle ....just your inability to read and understand things
-
Stunned Poole have let Hans go, great team man and captain and always likely to maintain his average. MInd you Poole let Newman go last season , loyalty doesnt mean a lot these days
-
Joe Jacobs not good enough!!! Your talking absolute tosh as always. Averaged over 5 in the 2016 season. If anything he did to well!! Another Brit lost to the sport....... Steve Shovlars idea of a rider not good enough is as follows: 9+3 v Wolves .........main reserve Howarth 8 v Swindon.......main reserve Wright 7+1 v Poole...........up against Pedersen and Newman 10 v Leicester...........main reserve Auty 8 v Poole.......Pedersen and Newman again. Wont be up against that calibre this season yet Shovlar thinks he isnt good enough lol

I think that if Holder joined Poole then Kurtz will have a higher average then Chris by the end of the season. The only issue i can see with Kurtz is that he throws the odd stinker of a race in , sometimes 2 a meeting, scoring 3,2,3,0,2 for example. At the end of the day its 10 from 5 but if he can eradicate the odd ride (sometimes overriding as well) he could easily score 13-14 every meeting. As of yet Brady isnt at Nick Morris level in the UK but he could this season
-
Still think Poole will need to get a good second heat leader in to rival the pairings of Morris/Batchelor and Cook/Fricke
-
On paper Kurtz is one of the weakest but for sure he has the most potential. Needs to step up to the level of Morris in the elite league as a minimum this season i would say. Poole going down the strength in depth route but as of yet not found a second and third heat leader to back up Kurtz
-
I dont hink it will be that easy for Swindon to an easy 4 points, Poole could draw at home
-
Poole will be there or thereabouts no doubt. And where did i say Tungate was better than Kurtz? Just nice for Belle Vue fans to see their second string doing well. Plus why arent Poole fans up in arms about Holder not riding in the Aussie champs?? They very vocal about Tai not doing the British Final so im assuming they must have the same thoughts regarding Holder
-
Seems Poole right to get rid of Jack Holder didnt do that well in oz today. Kurtz did ok but beaten by a Belle Vue heat leader and Belle Vue second string shows that he could possibly be the weakest number one in the league. Josh Pickering looked good maybe someone in the top flight might take a chance on him
-
Looked a neat and tidy rider when i saw him at Ippo if not a little raw at times
-
Good result for Aces fans this morning seeing Tungate win the meeting and Fricke third................bodes well to have your second and third heat leaders doing well. Good result from Josh Pickering , maybe he might be looked at as a reserve option somewhere?
-
Very very good side if thats the case
-
Looks a strong team but was always rumoured to be. Leicester, Somerset and Swindon also look good
-
spot on. Ipswich would have won the league i feel if we had the 1-7 we had at the press day which never ever took to the track. At the moment the Edinburgh 1-7 doesnt look good enough for the play offs when compared to other 1-7's But a few changes and you only need to get 4th and then you are in with a chance
-
I dont go to Poole and havent since the Mark Loram farewell. I was there at the world cup when Havvy and Rempala had that race and Jonsson was unreal. The track everytime on tv is just awful and the riders dont like it thats facts not opinion. It was once very good and is now poor unless its good for the non televised stuff. That said the track at my club Ipswich doesnt lend itself to great racing either
-
I agree with what you are saying its just i dont think this team is good enough, i may be wrong
-
Covatti wasnt reserve for long he was on a false average from his time at Sheffield and quite clearly was heat leader material. Ok so picking hairs but Masters, Wells and Riss is now Riss, Wells and Riss. Weaker heat leader trio than last season. Pickering and Andersson need to hit the ground running for sure. The team will or should do well on their tricky home track but cant see them getting to much away at all.
-
wow! Sorry must remember to say Edinburgh look strong next time! Sorry i cant see this team as anything other than 6th or 7th in my opinion and thats all it is opinion. Masters is a huge loss as the team just got in the play offs last season and now look much weaker without him. Last season as heat leaders, Masters , Wells and Riss and this season Wells , Riss and Riss. Sorry but to me this seasons team doesnt look as good as last seasons which finished third. Ipswich , Sheffield, Glasgow and Scunthorpe and Lakeside already look stronger to me. I may be wrong but thats what opinions are for
-
lol you do come up with some great stuff! So now riders cant come back to ride over here unless they are replacing an injured rider...........laughable. Both Hancock and Woffinden came back to help sides try and win the league while at the same time keeping them fit for the gp's as there was less meetings elsehwhere. Yes Joonas was doing his job but they had the chance to bring in a better rider....its a no brainer. Im sure if Poole could have replaced KK with a Woffinden or an Iversen they would have done.
-
I have no issue with Woryna on his average...............as long as all other riders who didnt ride here last season keep their 2016 one as well.
-
I agree with you on most things but not this. After seeing the pathetic way Chris Holder conducted himself last season im surprised any side would want him. Has the ability but the ego is way to high and he is on the downgrade and somehow kept his gp place. KK is not exactly Mr role model either but after his performances for Rye last season i can 100% understand why the Rye fans would want him over Holder.
-
Talking absolute garbage Woffinden and Zagar have an average from 2016 same as Woryna does. Please tell me how in your little Poole bubble how any of the riders differ from the other? 2 riders who are not going to get any better (Woffinden and Zagar) can have their 2016 averages INCREASED 1 rider who it has been shown has vastly improved can have his 2016 average KEPT THE SAME Now please tell me how you think that that is fair???? Nobody is saying Poole have broke the rules in signing Woryna on that average............yet you keep coming out with daft statements like 'Woffy turned his back on GB' and even more stupid ' that they dont have an average' .........Zagar rode ger the whole season yet you think he should have his average altered yet someone else who rode here (Woryna) shouldnt!!!............your pathetic bias is incredible!
-
Being an Ipswich fan i have nothing against Edinburgh but that truly looks the worst side from Edinburgh ive seen for a long time. A number 1 has left to be replaced by.....................nobody. Wells and Riss as number one and 2 and the third heat leader is Mark Riss who spent some of last season at reserve. Pickering is ok then another newbie at second string. Looks a season of struggle to me though i may be wrong. But put this 1-7 up against Ipswich, Glasgow and Scunthorpe and its not even close
-
erm yes i did!! Worynas average is correct.......but then so to should be Woffindens and Zagars....simple really
-
Cant believe we are still banging on about averages! Grossly unfair that a rider like Woryna isnt reassessed but riders like Woffinden and Zagar would be. But of course the usual bile from the south coast expert clouds over the thread. It should be one clear cut rule............if you didnt ride here last season you are either ALL reassessed or ALL not reassessed. Its not difficult. Dont think anyone has said Pooles team looks poor just got a weak number one and a couple of risky Poles who may or may not do the business. If they do Poole will be good for the play offs Shovlar banging on about how good Poole look and how poor everyone else looks................then await the first Poole fixture and they will be massive underdogs whoever they ride against..........
