  1. I dont believe Scott meant it but he clearly lifted, hit Nathan and should have been excluded. There isnt even an argument
  2. Starman telling people to go back to their own threads..............priceless
  3. Cams last away matches with the last match away at Peterborough. He rode at Peterborough, Sheffield (twice), Workington, and Scunthorpe as a heat leader so im more than happy that from a second string berth , Heeps will do just fine 12 @ Peterborough 8+1 @ Sheffield 6+1 @ Sheffield 8+2 @ Workington 13 @ Scunthorpe 3 @ Newcastle 6+2 @ Berwick
  4. Pressure on Heeps?? Rode the end of last season as a heat leader and was winning race after race at home beating top opposition riders. Next season he will ride at 2 or 4. Cant be many teams that will line up with 4 heat leaders Never nice to leave a Brit out but Nathan would have been in the 1-5 and may have struggled there i guess. Plus he isnt our asset and Haartel will be. Would like to thank Nathan and Kyle for this season just gone and the best of luck next season. Im sure both will get a rousing welcome if they visit with their new clubs
  5. With regards to Ipswich he simply couldnt be fitted in and its purely a numbers game. There was no way that King and Schlien werent going to come back. Heeps form from mid to end season was sensational so he was always going to be back. Covatti is a crowd pleaser and if back to full fitness gives us a strong top 4. Hume is a no brainer on a 2.00 and Mountain is good away from Foxhall and if his home form gets better then he is a must as well. This left one place that could have been used by Greaves but we have decided to go for a young promising German, not always sure on leaving a Brit out but i guess they feel Nathan may have struggled in the 1-5. Kyle Newman quite simply couldnt be fitted in. He never really was comfortable on our track and the fact we had the 'main 4' coming back meant he was always likely to be the one to go. I for one hope he gets fixed up as he gives 110% every time he gets on a bike
  6. Oh dear the lack of knowledge and understanding from certain Poole fans is quite laughable. Have a look at what Poole did to Newman and then what has happened to him at Ipswich and tell me how they are the same lol
  7. those 3 and Heeps would see us unbeatable at home
  8. Mark is very astute i have known the family since Mark was 15. Mark demanded more money as has been said but rather than doing the talking himself he got Norrie to do it. Norrie used to rub people up the wrong way and probably did that to Matt Ford. Mark maybe thought he was worth more than he should have been i agree with that, but Mark knew what he wanted and maybe made the mistake of not speaking to Ford personally.
  9. No TR asked to leave the club and went out to Kings Lynn the following season and him and Leigh Adams were the top 2 Not going down this route again. I have close links to the Loram family and know the exact story. Mark told Norrie a price and Norrie went to Ford and Ford refused. Mark may have asked for to much for Matt Ford to pay, but Mark was the one who came up with the figure. Mark didnt like confrontation so Norrie did all of the talking. Mark is very quiet but a very astute businessman hence his forays into building work and car sales. He ended up going to Peterborough for more than he asked Matt Ford to pay him at Poole. This is the Swindon thread can we leave this here please.
  10. Erik Riss would be a great signing but cant see it
  11. Correct spot on. Swindon have decided to go with Morris and it could purely be that finances decided it. To many people trying again to condemn Chapman. The 1 over the 8 rule will work fine
  12. Not 100% accurate. Mark wanted what he though he should be paid in line with other world champions. He told Norrie what he wanted. Norrie told Ford who then went straight to TR. Mark wanted to ride for Poole but Poole wouldnt budge and went for TR and paid more than Mark wanted. Anyway back to Swindon and i would guess this is down to money and nothing else
  13. Swindon will be fine. They have along with Pete Adams the best team manager and he got it very right last season when many expected him to fail. Have faith Swindon fans Mark Loram..................asked for more money and was then replaced by Rickardsson .........for more money than Mark wanted............admittedly TR was the better rider. Nobody knows what has happened behind the scenes.................who knows how much Doyle is asking for.
  14. I do which leaves 2 points for the last rider, my maths is better than yours
  15. so because they havent hit the dizzy heights they shouldnt be allowed in the top flight??? you speak total crap!!! Stuart Robson was British number two in 2001 finishing ahead of Dugard, Havvy, Nicholls, Stoney, Louis, Wilson, Smith, Rico, Norris and Barker. Yes he isnt as good as he was so in your mind he should be thrown out of the league for a young foreigner!!! You are talking total total rubbish
  16. Is that the same Scunthorpe side that have signed 5 riders and have only 7.54 left for 2 riders?
  17. you brought it up! Did the other 12 riders refuse to race? No, including serial moaner KK Chris Holder also had a great race with his brother as well. The track was rideable.
  18. Yes i agree so stupid to ban riders for refusing to race when the other 12 were happy to do so
  19. And the season before. Poole have dominated the elite league bit like Man Utd did the premier league.......but as good as Man United are they arent top dog anymore and neither are Poole, thats the way sport is
  20. I know i get moaned at on Poole threads at times but i wasnt even having a dig lol Matt Ford believes announcing the riders over the close season one by one is the best way Other promoters do it differently and i dont believe either way is wrong lol
  21. what?? there is no right or wrong way.....................you seem a very strange individual
  22. no your not right its all about opinion. your promoter does it one way and many others do it another way. do you honestly think that by Ipswich announcing their 1-7 tomorrow will have an impact on the season??? get in the real world. Ipswich are promoting the club non stop at the moment in conjunction with the football team. The riders are going out on corporate events from now until the start of the season, going out meeting fans at various functions. Thats something that cant be done if you havent announced your riders. Makes no difference how you announce your side and Ipswich are getting the riders involved with the fans from now until March. There is no right or wrong way so get back in your box
  23. I know! Never read so much tosh in my life
  24. Wouldnt have either Holder near my club personally. Kurtz is a must and Hans would be good back up. Woryna and Shanes decent reserves. After that who knows
  25. lol you crack me up. does it really matter one bit when the riders are announced. Personally i dont mind going into the new year knowing our 1-7 and not worrying like Poole fans are over who they might be getting. Do you think that come March our fans wont bother going because the team was announced in November lol
