Berwick V Glasgow (sat April 4) League Cup
Mr Blobby replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was in the area earlier in the day so I thought I would pop along and see some speedway. Wish I hadn't It was horrible to watch. Berwick started well by getting out the gate but second half of the meeting was a different story Glasgow started trapping and even if a Berwick rider was faster there was no chance you were going to pass anyone. The track was so slick and bare it was ridiculous. -
thats trophy number 1 retained. good nights racing considering it was the first of the season. Cookie, Sam and sedgy as expected. Wolbert, Rob and Max once they get their gating sorted they will be fine got the speed just couldn't get out the tonight. Riss was promising wasn't off the pace and got round the track smoothly. Once all the boys get the gating sorted and Erik gets going most teams will take a beating When the tigers come back for real stuff we will give them a good beating.

So after Sundays nonsense we move onto the 2nd leg at Armadale. We have a 6 point gap to pull back if we want to retain one of our many trophies. Even with al the good things happening along in the west just now with the new owners etc they still can't make an appearance at Armadale without fielding a full team as usual they will field the select side. Hansen, S.Worrall and Perks will replace Lawson, Morris and Serjeant. Hopefully the weather will be kind and that we have plenty of spare air bags with Kozza smith in town. Edinbrugh to win by 12. Teams for Friday: Edinburgh Craig Cook © Justin Sedgmen Kevin Wolbert Erik Riss Sam Masters Max Clegg Rob Branford Glasgow 'select' Kenneth Hansen (G) Dimitri Berge Aaron Summers © Kozza Smith Stevie Worrall (G) Victor Palovaara Ellis Perks (G)

If you had one heat 1 craig would you still have moaned i don't think so just wear more tear offs next time with a couple of laughing faces at the end was your exact words. You were looking for a reply and got one. yes there was no need to bring your son into and he apologized for that but you were looking for a reaction and you got one. Anyway lets leave it at that and move on.

"Monarchs co-promoter John Campbell today said: “There were special circumstances that meant the match had to go ahead. But there wouldn’t have been many league matches that would have taken place in such conditions. But Glasgow, for obvious reasons, wanted the match on.” From today's EEN As john Campbell says it wouldn't have went ahead if it was a normal meeting. A glasgow club official even told an edinbrugh fan that the meeting would have been off any other week but they decided to run it anyway. Lets not consider riders safety as we need to show off our fancy new stadium.

With it being their first meeting i know they wanted to get it on but that was a joke it shouldn't have even started. Cook and Sedgmen having to pull up a lap into the first race and take their goggles of becuase they couldn't even see. Tack was like slush riders rolling round at times as they couldn't even turn poor show. Spent all that money and havn't even got rid of the holes going into bends 1&3. On a side note hope young Riss is okay took a couple of sore ones today. hopefully be fine for Friday.

Workington Vs Redcar 28/3/15 7pm A66 Trophy
Mr Blobby replied to Django's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
wouldn't take Rustys advice if a track is raceable or not if a track is in even in slightest bit wet he doesn't want to know about it. -
Erik will be able to get round the dale with ease. I know he was riding himself but considering it was the first time he had seen the place he looked pretty impressive, went a little wide on bends 1&2 a couple of times but other than that looked good. He is only going to get better as well with each week he rides the place. Next Friday when he has 3 others beside him we will see how he handles that but from todays showing looks promising. Craig Cook@the_cookstar I've never seen a rider come to the Dale and attack it like that first time out, Erik Riss! round of applause young man that was class

So it will be captain Cookie for 2015. Seems like we have signed the right Riss as well as he took to the tight bends of Armadale like a duck to water with his all action leg trailing style unlike his brother who came out twice and ended up in the air fence twice. William Lawson was also out on track again like he always seems to do when P&P comes around.
