  1. I see that Kyle Newman took a heavy fall at Ipswich tonight. If he is unfit who would GB bring in ? Perry? Garrity ?
  2. Drat ! I thought that missing out Kauko would put the hounds off the scent.
  3. Barker Screen Masters Doolan Ashworth Vissing Cook Lawson North Pijper (Can you see what I did there................ ?)
  4. Very respectable showing for the Saints over the two legs. When the draw was made I thought that the Potters would go through by a far larger margin than just four points.
  5. Ross in Ht 13 was superb. Held off very experienced pursuers for four laps without puting a foot wrong. For such an inexperienced rider it was an excellent effort.
  6. The inside half of the track was pure "blue groove", you could smell the burnt rubber from the stands, and straying off the inside line was like riding on marbles. Despite this the lads from both sides put on a good show. I presume Birks had to pull out due to lack of equipment after his engine went pop in his first ride in the PL match. Scunny missed a trick by putting R/R at No. 4, should have been at No. 2 IMHO . Stars of the show were Reade, Young and a terriffic ride from Walter in Ht.13. Rest of the riders were pretty much as expected. Young Clegg showed promise, but Richie underperformed and was a little too concerned with Tom Young, rather than concentrating on racking up points. It quite often happens that riders appearing in both legs of these double headers run out of steam before the end of the second match .
  7. All becomes clear ! A chaotic start for the "new" Pila club. Just shows that not everything is better in Polish speedway. Thanks for the information, Vicar. I've referenced your site many times over the last few years. Always useful to check riders meeting by meeting scores in various countries.
  8. Glad to see that The Ritchie Fan Club now has branches in Cumbria and on Teesside.....
  9. I hope it works out better than it did with Paul Cooper last year. If it does then I think the youngsters will learn a lot from Jason. The only downside might be that if it works too well a PL team will move in half way throught the season and the Saints will have to look for a new number one disrupting the development of the team. Good luck to all concerned.
