  1. Cara House in Berwick 01289 302749. Long time sponsors of Berwick Speedway and a regular retreat for riders
  2. If there is no rain forecast the track is flooded on the friday night and always has been If there is no rain forecast the track is flooded on the friday night and always has been
  3. Ian Rae once told me heavy rain the day before a meeting but NOT on the day of the meeting helps the track preperation enormously.
  4. You read it here first, i believe the deal has been done, and Magnus will become a Tiger in the near future, now the question is, who will make way ? Or will this be the only change ?
  5. The pies in the pits tea bar are also available in the catering van just inside thae turnstyles along with those, to die for burgers
  6. Only seven days to go ! If Berwick and Newcastle can serve up anything like last Saturdays Berwick/Leicester clash then it will be another feather in the Premier League's cap ! Let us all pull together on this one and persuade as many of our friends, neighbours, relatives etc etc to get along to Shielfield next Tuesday and create a magnificent atmosphere in front of the SKY Camera's, and maybe just maybe they will finally realise that the Premier League is and can be a very good product
  7. Taffy, why do you pass comment on something you so obviously no nothing about, read the rule book ! Berwick fixtures take priority,
  8. Confirmed on Berwick website, Kozza Smith and Robin Aspegren is our pair
  9. I think it will be Kozza and Robin that will be the Berwick pair, based on previos years qualification, ie, averages taken at 1st of month, Ricky is out and Eddie was not a Berwick rider then so that, i think, will be the case, unless there's another rule change ! ! 10. Yes, but they do now have many welcomed sponsors, Kennett ha no other commitments apart from Swindon and probably the odd open meeting,so to ride premier leage this season and get a true averaage for that league obviously will give the lad a whole lot more options for next season, maybe he,s using his head and thinking of his future especially with the uncertainty of British speedway in general,
  11. I thought that sort of information was meant to be confidential. For a man in the position of team manager of a Premier Leage club and been dismissed from employment once before for comments made on a public forum, your treading on dodgy ground.
  12. WOW here's another one who didn't see that one coming, Eddie Kennett, what a rider he will be in this league, 100% racer, and Paul Starke is no dud either, This promotion and Ian Rae in particular are getting pretty good at pulling the proverbial rabbit out of the hat, but this tops the lot. Very very well done to every one concerned and from a business point of view this surely stop the moaning and increase the crowd levels to a point that will make it all worth while for the owners of the club. Gutted for Ricky and Alex. But with Ricky's health more important and Alex riding with no confidence as was plain for all to see and three defeats at home something had to happen, And it HAS. Now is the time to get behind the club and team, get the stay alway's back and support the club the best we can. They are trying, so should we. Welcome to Berwick, Eddie and Paul
  13. It's not sacasm, like i said, it is relentless slagging off all things Berwick Speedway, if you are a supporter of the Speedway then SUPPORT it. Have a look back at your posts over the last few months and you will see that i an right ! The Berwick promotion work very very hard at providing and improving every thing they can and need every as many people as possible to attend speedway meetings in Berwick in order to make it viable, The casual spectator and visitor to this forum ( of which there are many ) will read some of your posts and be put off ever coming back to the Speedway, i honestly don't think you realise how much damage can be caused to the sport in this day and age of the internet by contiuous negativity towards it, More people through the gate means more money, which in turn will lead to better Team, facilities, track, etc, etc, etc, which we can all enjoy. So please SUPPORT Berwick Speedway and it will prospor.
  14. You got it wrong there ! It's the same old tune from a plumb like YOU ! Honestly, why dont you just go away and support ( haha ) some other sport if if you obviously dislike Speedway at Berwick that much. Grow up, stop slagging it relentlesley or go away and suck your thumb At last, a very good and sensible post, let's get rid of all the negativity and support all aspects of Berwick Speedway
  15. He WAS circulated for transfer, obviously didn't happen, so better to get a seasons loan fee ? Should this not be discussed on a Berwick thread instead of Glasgow v Berwick ?
  16. Seb was not transferred, only on loan, this was confirmed by George Hepburn weeks ago when i asked him
  17. I believe a certain Mr Wright may be in the Worky team on Saturday
  18. It may look weaker still come Saturday ! !!
  19. By fence, I should have included, air fence, sheeting etc, for viewing at greyhounds
