  1. As for the "Rosco wont look at Garrity for selection" , if he carries on improving like he has been, i see no reason why he shouldnt. Improved hugely in the Pl, would be a number one in most other sides away from sheffield, and imo was better than Newman in the el last season. I dont think he will go all the way, but has the talent to at least be as good as craig cook imo. Too wreckless to make the gps though, unless he calms down. Damn right hes a better prospect than Newman though. Delusional, coming from a Poole fan? Haha
  2. Are you serious? Every promoter in the league probably does it, Garrity himself was probably offered it to stay reserve but as i said hes showed ambition and moved up!!! Your telling me Josh Auty, an established number one, is riding in the el for the same money as Kyle Newman, a pl second string/third heatleader? No chance. Both of these will be on different wages, how their payed is anyones guess, same as Worrall, Kerr, Howarth etc. Bet Davey Watts looking forward to the huge drop in wages as well
  3. You seriously think the reserves get what their meant to, pay wise? There was a cap on wages in the NL before, i remember it was 10 or 20 quid a point. Yet you had riders who were decent second strings in the pl the season before riding in the NL.... On a tenner a point? Ha yeah right! Just because theres a pay cap, there are ways around many rules (your a poole fan, should know about that ) and have no doubt most these tier 1 reserves will be getting paid more than their allowance.
  4. Looking forward to seeing how the Gjedde goes in this one!
  5. Absolute tosh. He knows hed score poorly as a 1-5 member thats why hes still at reserve. I think it makes a mockery of the sport the whole draft system. Should of been for two seasons only for tier 1 reserves, after that move up or dont bother. Garrity has the right attitude. He may struggle but rosco will take him a lot more seriously than a draft rider who, despite knowing hell clean up 9/10 in the draft system, decides to stay there for a third successive season. He should of told Ford where to go and done a Garrity, and lined up as a second string this season. Its all so predictable. Hell move up after the first set of averages, struggle and drop straight back down. Garrity cant do that unless he has a mare, as the coventry reserves are so poor. The drafts were brought in to bring on young brits, apart from one or two then all it is doing is making them easy money. Newmans bank balance will be swelling and if thats what he wants then fine, fair enough, but it shows what a farce the system is and it also shows he has no ambition on making jt to the top of the sport. Same for Howarth really, quite how he was allowed to drop back to the draft and why he chose to do so when he was going well enough as a second string for Swindon tells its own story. If the draft riders earn standard wages, why did a 2015 6 point second string decide to drop down to it for 2016? Confusing ... NOT!!!
  6. I can only say its down to his ambition to go further in the sport. Pissing about as a fast track rider wont help that. Good on him. Rubbish. Its simply down to money. Newman wont be on pennys riding at reserve and as long as he continues to rack up maximums from there, hell make a small fortune.
  7. Garrity was wanted at reserve and refused so why didnt newman?
  8. No chance will he. I like Newman, but he is way too over hyped on here. He'll continue to clean up as a fast track, but the day he steps up into the team (you have to wonder if that day will ever come!) he will be exposed. He'll get slaughtered by heat leaders and second strings, home and away. As much as I also think to some extent Garrity is overrated, at least he showed ambition and moved up. Hed make more money as a reserve, banging in maximums as a reserve will earn him more than 2,3,4 and 5 pt returns as a second string. Garrity imo is too wreckless and wild to go right to the top of the sport, but he is at least trying to better himself. I dont see how Newmans progressing towards a squad in team gb by being a 6.5 pl man and a fast track rider. Same goes for Worrall, although in fairness hes improving rapidly in the pl.
  9. Newman is at his level now. Beating fellow fast tracks wont bring him on. At least Garritys gone for it and tried the main body of the team. Newmans heavy el scoring may look impressive on the eye, but down in the pl his form is a lot more realistic. A third heat leader at the best. Imo. Once he moves into the top 5 at poole, see how he goes then. And reading these posts regarding Woryna, its almost as if the Coventry fans want him to fail!! He isnt the problem, much hinges on KK picking up form. Coupled with the fact King is not a heatleader, and your reserves are pants, theres a few bigger problems than Woryna
  10. Id say Emil is easily as talented as Tai, but needs to get back in the sgp asap to prove this. Superb talent on a bike, but if he wants to be remembered as a great he needs to be back in the gps. But i do think he is every bit as good a rider as Woffy. Sadly wont ever know how Good darcy would of been, it seemed at swindon he had turned the corner and was starting to show a lot more maturity and then he had that dreadful crash. Shame, as it would of been box office to see tai, ward and emil all going for top spot. Its only a matter of time before nicki and greg call it a day, once theyve gone who is there to challenge tai in the series? Id say a fully fit NKI Is the closest atm, but even he is the wrong side of 30 now and seems to lack that little bit of aggression to go from a top 5 rider to world title contender. If he doesnt do it this season, i dont think he ever will. With zagar, 80 percent of the time he is class but, as i have thought ever since his pl days, theres days where he seems like he cant be bothered. I do hope a few others step up this season to challenge tai, like holder and doyle. I just dont see holder ever being up there again, too many serious injuries imo which is a shame. Id say doyles probably peaked, but remember thinking that about 6 years ago and look at the difference now! The gps need emil but he should be made to qualify imo.
  11. Be interesting to see how this side gets on. Few big gambles in there.
  12. See Meredian lifts are sponsoring Andersen again!
  13. The bright yellow ones look superb but a shame half the side are wearing a totally different colour!
  14. Really do like the look of this side, tipping it for the top three. Even if Kus holds his average, it looks mighty strong. Nobody, myself included, saw Worrall maintaining his figure last season, let alone improving it whilst number one and i can see further improvement. Add that to Lamberts almost certain improvement (as long as mummy and daddy let him commit himself) and the solid middle order, I can see this team going all the way.
  15. You could not make it up! Why was this new squad system not announced straight after the AGM?! And people wonder why this sport is an absolute joke! The only way we find out about this new squad is through one team announcing 10 riders. Why not agree to it at AGM, release it in the statement and then every team can have a go at it. I find it pathetic how its only for certain members of the top 5! If it was for any position, theres every chance youd have, as an example, Nicki and NKI job sharing at KL. The sport is a complete joke and its just getting worse each close season. God knows what next season will be like!
  16. I cant believe Nicholls average is so low - every time I seen the scores in 2015 he was always banging them in! How is he only 6ish?! Still unsure whether he is good enough for the team though. Woofy and Bomber certaintys, youd imagine Cook and Lambert would be the other two surely?
  17. Why does Havelock get it so wrong? That side looks woeful. Surely everything in his power should of been done to get Andersen in at reserve.
  18. So what happens when PUK leaves? Without him this team looks incredibly weak to be honest. Im sure Wilko will score plenty around Lynn from reserve but away will be a different story. I aint sure I see much if any improvement in Rose either I'm in honest. Mads will be Mads, whilst entertaining all season will score well for 4-6 weeks then drop off. Whether its to do with machinery or fitness Im not sure. Question marks on Scheiln for sure, very nasty injury to return from at the stage of his career he is at. Could be a lot of pressure on Lambert to perform. And then theres Batchelor. Wouldnt want him any where near my team. How people think he could be a steal on his average I don't know! The new German is being thrown in at the deep end for sure, would of been far better off going down the PL route with a club like Edinburgh first. Hopefully, Niels starts well and the Stars can persuade him to stay. If not, I cant see how they'll be anywhere near as strong when he leaves.
  19. Sadly both Berwick and Scunny look poor outfits to me - cant understand some peoples hype on Berwick! Newcastle and Peterborough look the two stand outs to me.
  20. Funny he makes comments about faggots ... Youd think he would stay quiet on that front seeing as his tongues up another mans ( ford) arse most of the time 😂😂
  21. I get the feeling Iversen is feeling a little guilty about leaving it so late to make a decision now, hence his comments about willing to come and help KL if required. Still, a club like Lynn should of been able to attract a big name in his place. Iversen wouldnt of came cheap, he was probably the most expensive rider in the league last season so using the available funds from him towards another capable number one would of been an option surely, considering how crap the rest of the line up is? Cant tell me someone like Lindback, vaculik, hampel, larsen, piotr pawlicki etc would cost more than iversen. None would match his scoring power but settling for ben barker, a probable 5.5 rider if he does well, is a pathetic attitude. That side will be rock bottom near enough and the promotion only have themselves to blame. Lamberts improving but will probably end up number 1, will he cope with that? Korneliussen is one of my favorites but is a journeyman, albeit 100 percent racer and tryer, but often goes missing. Add to that scheiln returning from a broken back , and it doesnt bode well. Espiecially when you look at the reserves.
  22. No its not gospel but apart from the odd time Pedersen has been better than gollob throughout that peroid and only a numpty like yourself will argue otherwise. Like him or loathe him Pedersen has been a class act. Gollobs pathetic attitude to not trying if there aint a line around the fence doesnt help his cause and taking so long to master big circuits. Pedersen and crump, imo, were a level above gollob during that era. Excitement doesnt come into it - id prefer to watch charlie gjedde or frankie smart over hancock any day of the week - doesnt make them better riders
  23. Not this debate again Pedersen has always been a class above gollob, and the stats back it up.
  24. Cant agree with the last two. 2006-2010 would be Pedersen for me. One the title twice in that time and had a third (?) as well. And was also top notch in the leagues. I think it was 07 where he produced probably the most dominant world title year ive seen. Crump was class though, id say its a hard one. Be interesting to see their polish/uk/ swedish stats for that period Also tai surely from 2013 to now?
