  1. No, please don’t because you’re talking b0llocks. No club should be given a helping hand. We already have a points limit to try and keep the leagues competitive, carry on trying to manufacture performance/results and you start veering towards WWE nonsense. Performance this season should have absolutely no bearing on preparation for next season, a totally different season where everyone has the opportunity to do better. I’ve already stated I have some sympathy with Birmingham on this occasion because of the uncertainty over their future and seemingly being a step behind everyone else on team building. I don’t have a problem with Birmingham being protected slightly on rider control as a one off and I’ve already said as such. What I don’t like is restricting certain clubs who had a successful year and helping those that didn’t by bringing in this ridiculous favouritism on rising star control.
  2. Hopefully Musielak rides here, if he does I hope he goes to Birmingham instead of Oxford. Oxford already have Janowski in the ranks, Birmingham are far more desperate for top end reinforcements. Obviously the money has to be acceptable to the rider, that goes without saying. If money is tight which seems likely, then that’s going to be an ongoing issue for them.
  3. LOL give over with this vomit inducing “we like to help others” cr@p. You’re not “releasing” Ben Cook to help others you fool, you’re releasing him because you’d rather keep the others. “The strong teams help the weak teams” LOL you’ve just pinched Zach Cook off Birmingham who had pencilled him in to their side, in exactly the same way Ipswich have with Brennan! Purely for your own clubs gain because you have to shed points. Stop pretending your club is holier than thou and you make sacrifices for the benefit of others and British Speedway. Your club does things out of self interest, every bit as much as everyone else. Unless you’re Connor Mountain of course. A young British rider trying to make a living here. Then you get tossed on to the scrap heap in a purely tactical move.
  4. You’ll never see Vaculik over here again. Let’s just say his two ventures over here, wasn’t a good experience..
  5. This has to be the funniest reply on this forum. You do realise Screamer was fishing for bites and Rowe didn’t actually turn down Ipswich? And why on earth Would Ipswich fans be bitter about Kings Lynn? LOL.
  6. Just read the Star, the new manager Adams admitting they’ve lost out on a couple of riders they were confident of having in the side due to the uncertainty. You’d have to think one is definitely Brennan. Having thought about it, you’d like to think they could have been protected a little here. They were uncompetitive this year and now they’re already on the back foot for next year as well and lost a couple of riders. Having a team marooned at the bottom doesn’t help anybody. On the flip side though, you can’t really blame the riders for looking after their own interests and getting a guaranteed income sorted whilst there was uncertainty at the club. Difficult one.
  7. Didn’t give him a seconds thought. Belle Vue aren’t that daft surely..
  8. Unless it got lost in translation (which often happens tbf) Emil all but confirmed he was riding here a couple of weeks ago. Discussing the current GP status, said he was only concentrating on Ekstraliga and “Premiership” at the moment.
  9. Still this by all accounts. It’s an interesting team if nothing else. Has obvious weaknesses, but obvious strengths also.
  10. Zach replacing his brother? Interesting. Poor old Birmingham could struggle to cobble a team together at this rate.
  11. Fair enough. I’m not an Ipswich fan. No longer a fan of any particular club.
  12. Difficult to know which direction Leicester are heading to here. Masters rumoured away, Lawson going to Lynn. Something must be cooking.
  13. Yeah put the crack pipes down lads. The devil is in the detail, as it always is.
  14. The most important signing for Ipswich this year IMO is Tom Brennan. Yes, the top two are important but they seem to be more of a formality. As soon as Birmingham declared issues and uncertainty, every club in the league should have been on the blower.
  15. Very surprised to see Tungate gain an average as high as he has. He’s done better than most thought. Is it a tad expensive now though? He’s not #1 material for me.
  16. Moneybags Belle Vue cherrypicking another rider? Perhaps they ought to swap the Ace and use a Cherry as their emblem this year.
  17. Ben Cook, Lawson, Klindt, Iversen, Kvech, Harris, Boughen. Think that’ll be it.
  18. What do you want a medal? This is all a bit daft isn’t it? Why stop at top 4? Ipswich have a stronger top 2, Sheffield have a stronger top 3, and a stronger top 4, Ipswich will possibly/probably have a stronger top 5 and the one that really matters, I think Ipswich will definitely have a stronger top 7!
  19. Belle Vue were never in the running for Kenyan Rew. Jason Doyle was the one who brought him over, not Mark Lemon as you choose to believe. Doyle recommended him to Chris Louis and the deal was done.
  20. I’ve heard there was a split on voting for points limit, some wanting it dropped a point and others wanting to keep it to 40. I’d guess the loudest noises will get their way in the end and it’ll remain 40.
  21. Hawkins said similar recently didn’t he. Was tipping him to be the next in line to follow Bewley and Robert Lambert on the GP scene. If Bewley is off to pastures new as rumoured, perhaps Belle Vue will have room to bring him back..
  22. If Ipswich wanted Kvech and the rider wanted UK racing next year, then they’d get him. Deep down you know that too so you can forget this “two year deal nonsense”. Ipswich is well known for being a professionally well run club, Lynn let’s just say, isn’t. I wouldn’t worry though, I think Ipswich would much prefer Brennan on a similar average if they’re going for a mid 6 pointer.
  23. So you (and arnieg presumably) think it’s right that clubs get preferential treatment and first pick, due to the previous season’s poor performance? If so why? You're in essence being rewarded for being useless the previous year by having a free pick at the strongest rising star!! Complete and utter codswallop Oh and I’m not sure Jordan Jenkins signed up for any of these nonsensical rules!!
