  1. Think that applies to most Witches and Rebels fans, I've not had a chance to work out how far it is from Eddyburger.
  2. Wasn't it Tungate that famously suffered from arm pump during 4 laps, what chance has he got of doing 16? None now!
  3. Is it just me being cynical or did that flu come on a bit quick he was obviously fine at the weekend in Poland.
  4. Oh well, it's been moved forward due to our lack of involvement in the playoffs and is the last chance to see some speedway at Foxhall this season. Personally I'm looking forward to it because it's unique and the most gruelling race in the world! Although much watered down as far as top riders are concerned compared to years ago there's nothing quite like seeing 8 riders from 2 sets of tapes hurtling towards the first bend in the ultimate test of Man and machine. The line-up includes all 7 Witches plus Alex Davies Pack Castagne Carl Wilkinson Kevin Doolan Scott Nicholls Let's hope we get some decent racing and a good crowd to close our season in style! Footnote, I know it's not strictly the end of season for the Witches as we are still involved in the Premier League 4's final but as that's on a Thursday in Redcar not many fans are likely or able to make the journey. (Sadly)
  5. What a bl**dy stupid day to pick, I'm sure if it had been a Saturday as originally stated there would have been a decent support from all teams involved, now it's just gonna be predominantly Redcar and Newcastle fans in attendance. What planet do the BSPA live on?
  6. Isn't it about time they confirm when and where the final of this is going to take place, I think there's been plenty of time to sort out a neutral venue and date. Anyone got any news yet? Edit, sorry I forgot we are talking about the BSPA here after all so it could be next March.
  7. I somehow don't think with that paying out the money for a 4 heat leader type team will be within the kind of budget that the Witches will be looking at. The current asset base we have simply isn't good enough to provide a truly competitive team. As for finding the gem of a reserve, we had that this year in Nico but apart from Danny there was no consistency or reliability to back them up. If Chris Louis has any real ambition to win the league or any of the major competitions I think he needs to start with Danny and Nico and look really hard for riders that like Foxhall and ones that can definitely improve their averages. And before people start saying who would I suggest I would like to think and hope he has been around the sport long enough to pick out the most suitable riders to achieve this.
  8. Interesting team, Risager and Lanham a bit out of place as they can actually complete 4 laps without falling off!
  9. Is Chris Louis really gonna make us wait over a month for the 16 lapper? I know we've still got the PL fours final to compete in eventually but some of the team will have probably have gone home to Australia or America before the 15th October. It's not as if the 16 lapper lineup is going to be filled with world champions after all is it so available of riders shouldn't be an issue.
  10. One thing I do know is we need to put together a team that can all actually ride the Foxhall track because that's what really let us down this year! The only definites for me from this year's side would be Danny and Nico as nobody else has shown any consistency whatsoever. The rest needs to be made up of riders that can actually up their averages, there's no reason we can't do it Edinburgh seem to manage to achieve it year after year. Time to ponder me thinks on who's around that fits the bill.
  11. Well our season is over now so I might go for it tomorrow if the fishing is quiet.
  12. Well done Plymouth, you made changes to your team that had the desired effect. Rye still have Len Silver in the wings somewhere, need I say more?
  13. Thanks Shads. And you didn't seem like the bitter and twisted type when myself and the Bald one met you last year. It would be just the Witches luck to be overtaken at the final hurdle when we thought Scunny were going to get stuffed last night.
  14. Not many hours now before our season is over and done with, can anyone see Scunny beating Plymouth? I certainly can't.
  15. Think you might have a bit of support from us Witches fans for this meeting, good luck Scorpions!
  16. Oops, for some bizarre reason I thought it was a 1.6 conversion rate. Even better then. Get Scott in!
  17. Well, I've no clue if this teams averages would fit and although I love the idea of idea of the heat leader trio any side that has Kasper Lykke and Ash Morris in the main team I'm afraid is destined for failure. Think I'll wait till this season is officially over before too much speculation on the 2016 lineup. I believe Scotty would have a Premier average of 9.54 if my calculations are correct.
  18. Well I don't think it's gonna be particularly warm this evening but hopefully it will be dry. It's pretty dull and overcast in Ipswich and quite cool. Here's hoping.
  19. Forgot to mention in my initial post, I think the result on the night will probably depend on the engine size of the Cookie monsters machine. If it's the 250 he uses when hes guesting the Witches will win if it's his new 600 he'll probably break the track record again and go through the card. But hey ho, not much Speedway left this season for Ipswich fans to watch so will probably make my way to Foxhall.
  20. Surprised nobody has started one for this but with a 22pt deficit to make up I suppose its quite understandable. Personally I think the Witches can win but not by enough to progress to the final, I just hope it's a good meeting and we put up a real fight to give the Monarch's a run for their money. Anyone think we've got a chance? ( no,I didn't think so )
  21. A big home win me thinks, King unfit and no Covatti, we've got no chance.
