  1. how much do you reckon Uncle Len sold the stadium for?
  2. Rye House speedway went to the dogs years ago - around 2010...!
  3. At least Jason doesn't drill holes into his exhaust system to make him more competitive!
  4. come on Shads you are better than that.... Edward is on a downward spiral and Jason is on an upward one... The question again - did Rye House get additional cash from the transfers? - got to a have been worth a few quid in the Rye House coffers...!
  5. be interesting to know how much money (if any) changed hands over the Transfers - I'd have thought that the stock of Young Jason would be valued considerably higher that that of Old Edward...!
  6. crikey Hodgy! 2 fixture clashes aint the end of the world - considering most PL teams were desperate to get Lambert into thier 2015 line ups...
  7. crikey the great man appears to have hacked into your account also....
  8. Young Rob is just the job for Panthers Robert Lambert has signed for the Peterborough Panthers. Published on the 09 December Peterborough Panthers have snapped up one of the hottest properties in speedway this morning (December 9). Peterborough Panthers have snapped up one of the hottest properties in speedway this morning (Tuesday). The city club have completed a deal for 16 year-old sensation Robert Lambert, who will race in the Premier League for the first time in the 2015 season. Lambert shot to prominence when impressing for Elite League side King’s Lynn last season after being thrown into their main body of the Stars’ side. And Panthers chief Ged Rathbone is convinced the teen ace will thrive at the East of England Showground. He said: “Giving opportunities to up-and-coming British talents is hugely important to me and Robert certainly fits that bill. “Every team in the Premier League wanted to get their hands on him for 2015, but we won the race and we’re over the moon about it. “Signing Robert is a coup for the club because he is no ordinary teenager. He has already proved himself to be a mature and very fast rider – and he will only continue to progress. “I’m sure he will love racing at the Showground and I’m confident he will also score plenty of points on the road.” Great Britain Under 21 international Lambert will slot into the Panthers side on a 7.25 average next season. He joins captain Ulrich Ostergaard (8.00) and the returning Adam Roynon (4.78) as confirmed members of the Peterborough side for next season.
  9. Noun 1. supremo - the most important person in an organization big cheese, big deal, big enchilada, big fish, big gun, big shot, big wheel, head honcho - Someone tell Mr Plummer that there are plenty of alternatives!
  10. I know I couldn't believe it!! Plummers extensive vocabulary!
  11. Interview: New Peterborough Panthers supremo Ged Rathbone Ged Rathbone (left) and Trevor Swales (right) are now in charge of Panthers. Photo supplied by Mark Plummer Published on the 05 December 2014 07:00 Tweet Print this 0 comments Be the first to comment The man who spearheaded the successful fight for Peterborough Panthers survival admits the real test still lies ahead. North-East businessman Ged Rathbone joined forces with long-serving co-promoter Trevor Swales to ensure the city club can continue to race at Premier League level in 2015 after hitting a £40,000 fundraising target. The duo will now form a new-look management team and have high hopes of a successful future on and off the track. Rathbone said: “We are over the moon to have reached the point where we can continue racing. I can’t stress how hugely thankful we are to the many people who helped our cause during the last few weeks. We would not be in this position without them. “But we are well aware of the fact that the really hard work still lies ahead and that is proving we can run a speedway club. “Our aims are simple - to operate as a break-even business while being successful and developing riding talent. “Three-or-four years down the line we want to be able to look back and reflect on what a good decision it was to ensure Peterborough kept going.” Rathbone became involved in the Panthers set-up last year due to his involvement as sponsor and mechanic of captain Ulrich Ostergaard. But his love of speedway spans almost an entire lifetime after watching his first meeting as a four year-old. By his early teens he was already acting as a mechanic for riders He added: “I’m 46 years of age now and I’ve been in the sport for 42 of them. It has been a huge part of my life and I’ve always wanted to become involved in the other side of speedway. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to do that at a club which boasts one of the best set-ups in the Premier League and some fantastic supporters. “I wouldn’t have got involved in just any club, but I felt that there was a cause worth fighting for at Peterborough.” please not Simon -
  12. Think Mr Horton managed to burn our bridges with Lasse unfortunately - late payment of wages was probably the final straw... as his absence at the meetings towards the end of last season seemed to prove.
  13. whats wrong with people? if you think the season ticket is not competitively priced then don't buy one.... SIMPLES... Lets stop all this season ticket nonsense and just celebrate that Panthers are running in 2015 and hope that they can build a competitive team..!
  14. sounds like they are struggling to raise the required cash!
  15. I heard a rumour that he's nailed on for Panthers for 2015
  16. i cannot understand all the negativity on this thread - I thought uncle Len was going all out in 2015 to win the PL!
  17. team looks okay so long as there are no injuries. Lens love child Luke should be a steal at average on that reserve...!
  18. You should have added ... "and trolling on internet forums on threads that are of no concern to me!"
  19. be nice to have a target thermometer - showing how much more needs to be raised either on the Panthers website or on the ET website. A bit like we have for fund raising for a new village hall...
  20. nowt more to add other than the below I'd Imagine @ last Sunday Peterborough Panthers: Peterborough has been granted a 14-day extension to put forward their intention to run in the Premier League in 2015. The Panthers have suffered a heavily in the last few seasons but the BSPA has granted them extra time to declare their place in 2015.
