  1. similar to additional 400 +regular attendees who attended the EOES couple of years ago!!! The management of the sport has become a very bad joke!!!
  2. sums up British Speedway perfectly for me... couldn't arrange a p!ss up in a brewery.... Expect a statement from the promotion on monday should this meeting go ahead this weekend... "we really cannot work out why the turn out was so poor and that so many Edinburgh fans didn't travel down to watch it!"
  3. which is a shame and the promotion have gone very quiet both on this forum and in the local press.. I hope Rick sees that running PL on a Thursday/Friday night is a viable proposition and takes the plunge back into the murky waters of the BSPA... Although I guess Ipswich would attempt to block any attempt to ride on a Thursday, Lakeside on a Friday and Rye House if they tried on a Saturday - all a bit of a joke really...
  4. would love to know why Ales quit - last weeks SS - leads me to believe that he has an "issue" with the current promotion.... "£££££££" would be my guess with so many double headers.... and lack of gate receipts!
  5. will struggle to make the meetings if he's planning on commuting from Australia!
  6. PL would have been okay if Fisher and Blackbird had stayed injury free and the Promotion had picked a race night of Thursday or Friday... Double headers in a Tuesday with the second meeting ending after 12 heats wasn't the way to maximize attendances and revenues...
  7. Assuming we run in 2015 and in the PL.... What team would we like to see? Something along the line of this would be good IMO,,, Bjerre 8.28 Ostergaard 7.83 Blackbird 6.30 Poole 5.30 Bach 7.93 Greenwood 3.40 Bates 3.45 42.49....
  8. its all this Cloak and dagger sh!te that undermines the integrity of our sport.... no transparency whatsoever... Its a fecking joke!
  9. Lets hope not - I'm all Bowen'd out to be honest....... ZZzzzzzz after 10 years at Rye House still drops to reserve every season and still cannot ride any away track with any consistency ....
  10. yeah! done a great job promoting hasn't he? http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2233.2 Ged Rathbone - 8 weeks and not a peep! Rathbone (47) said: “I’ve never failed at anything I’ve done and I don’t intend to start now. “We have a brilliant bunch of lads at Peterborough and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into a bit of hard graft with Mick and the rest of the management team.
  11. speaks volumes the 13th of September and the season is over for Rye House - I cannot imagine the Ace of Herts being revived this season...
  12. why doesn't Andrew Silver step up to the plate and take over the running of Rye House speedway? the place needs a real good shake up...
  13. yeah as in Dilger 2*,0,1*,2* = 5+3 Now that would be a miracle!
  14. hope its nothing to do with non payment of wages....... ! Don't sound good, it if true? Mr Watson is very conspicuous by his recent absence on this forum.... Or is the answer elementary? http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/speedway-news/speedway-panthers-ace-dryml-retires-earlier-than-expected-1-6295371 Speedway: Panthers ace Dryml retires earlier than expected Peterborough Panthers star Ales Dryml has called time on his British career earlier than expected. The popular Czech rider has informed club bosses of his decision to retire from British speedway with immediate effect. He had previously indicated he planned to finish racing on these shores at the end of the current campaign. But the former GP rider and European champion has now notified Panthers that he will not finish the season. Team boss Carl Johnson said: “Ales has retired from British racing as of yesterday due to his ongoing back injury. “It has kept him out of a number of meetings during the season and the recent busy schedule has taken its toll. “It is a huge shame because Ales is a fantastic guy and a great team man. He has also been performing very well despite the back trouble.” Dryml becomes the second Peterborough rider to step down from the team in the past week. Richard Hall took the decision to cut short his season last weekend. It means Panthers will track a patched-up team when they travel to Plymouth tonight (September 12) for their final away clash of the regular season. Panthers are also without number one Lasse Bjerre at Plymouth due to his involvement in the Nordic SGP tomorrow. They have drafted in two Ipswich riders, Morten Risager and Gino Manzares, as guests for Bjerre and Hall respectively. It is rider replacement for Dryml. It is a must-win fixture as Panthers attempt to keep their play-off hopes alive. Johnson said: “We’re going there to get all four points and they are a must if we are going to make the top six.” TEAMS PLYMOUTH: Edward Kennett (guest), James Wright, Kyle Newman, Rasmus Jensen, Josef Franc, Roland Benko, Zdenek Simota. PANTHERS: Morten Risager (guest), Adam Roynon, Ulrich Ostergaard, Gino Manzares (guest), Rider replacement for Ales Dryml, Max Dilger, Nicki Barrett.
  15. Another point lost due to the 10pm Curfew!!! Could be a crucial one this time!
  16. Just as an FYI... Joe Screen has retired from Riding now!
