  1. Well put, I have to say after being at Peterborough last week the team seemed to have a real togetherness and determination that the home team couldn't match. I think we should enjoy the fact that we are 3 points clear at the top of the league and compost corner are bottom lol, let's enjoy it as long as it lasts and lets remember this fantastic start to the season gives us a great chance of making the play offs!
  2. A comfortable win albeit by 6 points and clearly King and Bellego still having issues. Just one point, now we all know the no one wants a meeting being dragged out especially when it's cold, however are these meetings being pushed through just a little on the quick side? barely time to draw breath between races.
  3. An outstanding performance from all 7 Ipswich riders. All this tosh about a weak side for God's sake givem a chance before we slate people after a couple of meetings. We put the arch enemy to the sword, what more do people want.
  4. As far as I am concerned there is no such thing as a 'friendly' against your arch enemies. I hope the riders are fired up for it as a morale boosting win could bode well for the rest of the season.
  5. With short responses like that have you considered becoming a member of parliament? It's decisive I'll give you that lol
  6. So come April 4th it's the first proper meeting with the old enemy for 17 years, with the follow up at compost corner on the 15th. Not much been said but I guess most have ( well l have) missed these encounters over the years. Do people on here think that the derby matches both home and away will have the same intensity as they did many years ago?
  7. You're bargain basement junk sounds like my barrel with a hole in the bottom. However I'm keeping optimistic until we see the final seven. If it's good that's fine and if it's naff and we are holding up the rest of the league, then whatever we say on here people will vote with their feet.
  8. Having a good side and an out and out number 1 really could put bums on seats. I remember going to compost corner a few years back for sayfutinovs debut for Coventry, buster had to delay the start to let everyone in. However like a lot on here I fear the barrel we are scraping no longer has a bottom!
  9. Thanks for the update, just one last question why doesn't Pearson and co run a premiership side out of Monmore or Perry Barr? Presumbably it's just down to cost?
  10. What's the current situation with new track? As an Ipswich fan we've got kings Lynn back we just need you lot back in the top flight now, surely there must be somewhere in the black country available.
  11. And it's worth considering that if the divorce from the EU is a messy one then some riders from Europe may not get work here if the country adopts a twit for tat policy.
  12. Are franz leitner and Andre pollehn available LMAO coz that's where we will probably set our sights.
  13. 87 and 88 we're crap seasons as well!
  14. Struth! Is buster trying to claim pension credits for these lads.
  15. I wonder if Buster made his " don't like Ipswich' comments in order to stoke up the fire ahead of a possible good Friday clash? Certainly when we race them it is not one to be missed after so many years.
  16. Probably too early to say but are we thinking it's going to be a Friday double header against lynn? I think so many have missed it over the years.
  17. Yes but if they don't like the situation they could pump up busters rent!!
  18. Presumbably if Buster holds the cards then he can hire and fire at both clubs if he wishes. Also it would be interesting to know spedeworths point of view on the Ipswich sale as surely it could potentially effect their levels of revenue such as stadium rent.
  19. Question is would Mildenhall be a viable option at the higher level?
  20. Perhaps the BSPA and Theresa May should go into partnership, trying to sell dead ducks!
  21. We have often been led to believe that the Witches are in safe hands, perhaps things have been a struggle behind the scenes along with countless other clubs that from the outside appear to be in serious financial trouble. Maybe this is why Chapman is hoovering up clubs. It maybe that several promotions were threatening to throw in the towel.
  22. Totally agree and just when you think the sport cannot get any more farcical it continues to be the gift that keeps on giving! and still we will only have say 12 to 14 meetings!
  23. I would have 1 league and Chuck in loads of rookies. It's a bit before my time but isn't that what happened in the 70s with rider control? Surely many young riders quit the sport because they only ride at development or NL level and never get a chance at a higher level. Surely each team could have say 2 or 3 British rookies who get say 30 meetings a season in 1 big league. Some will fail but surely some will succeed.
