If British Speedway had an advertising campaign and used the strapline ' subject to availability' would that be considered as taking the piss?

That's exactly my point previously, one or two riders missing on either side then it becomes a farce. Despite our comments on here I'm sure the promoters don't wear earmuffs and blinkers!

Does anyone know the situation with Cooper Rushen? I'm aware he missed Redcar with the hand injury. But with the chronic rider shortage we seem to be pushing our up and coming riders to extreme limits.

I know the forecast isn't good. However from an entertainment point of view we know Bangs is missing and is Cooper still injured. Anyone else missing flights or had better offers? Apologies but the cynic in me is shining through!

Just listened to Paul Hurry and Danny King on BBC Suffolk. No mention of any blades. From what I saw on bend 3 I agree with the picture, it looking like the leading edge of the grader was doing the scraping.

As I was there as well how many of the large crowd do think are Northampton or maybe new to the sport, 500 or so or maybe more?

Although I would point out that Lawson was wearing an older pair of Witches kevlers with Heeps on the back.

With a stunning performance like that I'd accept a lot arrival every week.

Good observations and I agree, I don't think a 10 point win told the whole story. I believe this was effectively won after 6 or 7 heats. Being honest that's the poorest Lynn performance at foxhall for some time and I can't imagine Rob Lyon would be happy with that.

Certainly a good experience I thought, in particular considering they had to get it up and running in 5 minutes. 2 points I would firstly make and given we would expect the majority of crowds to be nowhere near the opening night, the view from sort of halfway down to the grass back is naff. Given that if there was a huge crowd, presumably this happens on a big stock car event, you can only see the top of the helmets or nothing at all if you are right at the front. Secondly the lack of karzis on site was a major problem. However I'm sure the promoters will have a list of issues from the first night which I'm sure they will address.

Spot on, the bikes on full pelt sounded like they had plenty of grunt.

It was just a bit on the dusty side, not terrible but just a bit. It's a long run from the tapes to turn 1 but our boys showed more aggression in the turn, and on a surface with minimal passes I think that may have been the difference.

I know it's a rural location, so presumably it won't be T2at getting in and out of the place?
