  1. I sat on the third bend at mildenhall today and yes the pa was excellent. And yes also covered in a multitude of bugs! I think that in the past mildenhall has put me off due to over running meetings that require the following day off work. However I have to say that today's meeting ran well and although the blue line was in evidence they kept the track in good Nick.
  2. Changing tac slightly. I paid my first visit to mildenhall this season today. I know we had an impressive display on Thursday by Connor mountain. But I have to say I was mighty impressed by my first view of Connor Coles, looks like he may have a bright future. As long as we don't ruin him first!
  3. Great performance from all the team tonight, ok sarj was a bit trigger happy with his clutch but hey ho! Great for confidence to get a big win.if we can not drop any more points at home and maybe just maybe a couple of wins on the road, then we may just get a sniff of the play offs. Credit to Jorgensen for keeping going, his pass in heat 15 was the best move of the night.
  4. Totally agree with the last paragraph as jl must be hurting with the current plight. Like 1997 it would be nice to have a moment of inspiration like when we resigned rickardsson. I remember at the time although some were unhappy about the removal of Ben Howe it of course led to greater things.
  5. Whilst it is fair to congratulate Somerset on their success it shows what a pile of poo we have become. No disrespect to Somerset but they have been running only a few years and seem to have hit a groove whilst we have hit a rut! As has been said before the great name of Ipswich speedway is being dragged down by woeful performances all over the shop. The sad thing is that the set up at foxhall is first class, the sponsorship is first class, the press coverage is probably the most extensive of any club in the country and the rider's should be first class but something goes horribly wrong. What is it and is there anybody out there that knows the answers?
  6. A win is a win but to be honest I thought it felt like we were walking through treacle. However if we can win the remaining 3 at home in July and get a win at the likes of red car we might just have a sniff of the top six.
  7. I touch wood and say it should be a home win. However as I have stated before confidence is low and opposition teams will look for the kill. Peter scroehek has already mentioned kennetts unbeaten streak against us but I think the key for an away win could be Lanham and heeps. For us I feel a strong showing from Jacobs could see us home and dry.
  8. Changes on top of changes, not looking good is it. This reminds me of 1988 when the team that finished the season barely resembled the one that started it. Another thing that reminds me of that season was shears running a meeting on whatever bloody night he felt like!
  9. Be fair! Ipswich don't know which Ipswich side will turn up.
  10. You boys must be looking forward to Thursday. As I have said before our confidence must be smashed to pieces, and in theory we are ripe pickings for any side coming to foxhall.
  11. According to the bspa results page we are now called Peterborough. Is there something we don't know?
  12. The part of her that I was looking at wasn't tiny!
  13. The only thing I might want to change at Glasgow is the female start Marshalls footwear. What div sent her out there in high heels. It was like bambi on ice!
  14. Just back on the team changes, whilst I think most agree they are welcome, unfortunately at the start or before the season we should have thrown water on the flames of concern. Now we are fire fighting the leftover ashes. For the rest of this season I will hope to enjoy what's left and hopefully look forward to big changes next year.
  15. I'll second that its a good move.
  16. The way things are going this season by September a rubber dingy should be sufficient to collect the falling bodies from the Orwell bridge!
  17. Why would I have a grudge against mildenhall old boy? Like a lot on here I am just fed up with the Muppets that run and promote the sport in this country. If someone else runs the club after the promoters licence is removed that's good. If the promoters licence in this case was removed it would send a clear message to other fools considering the same actions as jolly.
  18. Are you speedways Neville Chamberlain?
  19. If you had a fractious relationship with your boss, then had a hissy fit with him and walked out on your job, would you expect to return to your job the following day, I doubt it. Mr jollys bosses are the paying public through the turnstiles each week, and they have been sadly let down because he spat out his dummy. Absolute disgrace and I hope the bspa deal with the situation in the strongest possible way and yes, if that means closure then so be it.
  20. Trouble is that mildenhalls second statement sounded half hearted and begrudging. Now we know the full sp I would throw the book at the promoters .
