  1. I quote supporters last because the powers that be appear to do the same.
  2. I'll take a team first at whatever level. Unfortunately the virtual silence is incredibly damaging for sponsors, riders and everyone else involved. N.B supporters as well lol
  3. How about some sensible heads. It might help British Speedway survive.
  4. I think we need to forget all this nonsense about extra teams because it ain't going to happen. Unfortunately the Premiership is like the cockroach that has been stood on but is desperately scuttling around the floor looking for survival. Logical thinking required here, why would any right minded businessman or persons invest in a dying sport? It ain't happening so people need to deal with it. One league is the only way forward and I believe eventually it will be forced upon the powers that be.
  5. Any news on the Wolves front Dean?
  6. We often hear from football club owners that they are the 'custodians' of the club and are passing through. Do you ever hear a speedway promoter say that?
  7. Fans of the former English non-league team Colne Dynamoes were extremely angry when the club's owner pulled the plug on the team in 1990 after being denied entry into the Football Conference due to ground issues. The owner, Graham White, reportedly "shat on every one of them" and "wouldn't have been safe walking around the town for some time" due to the intense fan anger. The Demise of Colne Dynamoes Colne Dynamoes rapidly rose through the non-league ranks in the late 1980s, winning the FA Vase in 1988 and attracting large crowds, sometimes over 1,000 people. Their rapid ascent, however, was their downfall. Ground Issues: As the team achieved success and looked set for promotion to the Vauxhall Conference (the highest tier of non-league football at the time), it became clear their Holt House ground did not meet the required standards. Failed Ground Share: White attempted to secure a ground-sharing agreement with nearby Burnley FC, a club he had previously tried to buy, but the Burnley board refused the offer. Club Closure: After plans for a new stadium failed to materialise and facing the prospect of not being promoted despite their on-field success, Graham White abruptly dissolved the club, much to the fury of its dedicated fanbase. The demise remains one of non-league football's great mysteries, often cited as a classic case of "too much too quickly".
  8. The only one that springs to mind is Colne Dynamos in Lancashire. They won the Northern Premier League in 1990. Following their denial of entry into The Conference the owner wound them up.
  9. From memory the current American owners bought Ipswich Town for around 40 million. I think the only asset that wasn't purchased was the land that the stadium sits on. I believe the freehold is owned by the local authority.
  10. Surely people in the inner circle must know what's happening?
  11. Yes that may be the case. However, as we know from previous years they usually fudge some cock up together to try and make 2 leagues work!
  12. Turkey's don't vote for Christmas and no one votes to abolish themselves.
  13. Ahh that's good to know. I guess it's because I'm just seeing the you tube views on my tv.
  14. I am quite surprised that the viewing figures are still really low for 360. I have mentioned to several people I know who go to speedway. All the pundits I think have given a great insight into the sport which can hopefully stop supporters or lay people from drawing their own conclusions. As I have said before as an Ipswich supporter the last few years have been absolutely fantastic but now the sport MUST come first and for my money it should have been one league.
  15. I listen to 360 because people like Dean tell it like it is.
  16. Can't help myself Ian, the powers that be have kicked the can so much that they must have ran out of road!
  17. Plymouth v King's Lynn does Nicolai ride 2 for Plymouth and 2 for Lynn?
  18. So you are fine with the lunatics taking over the asylum?
  19. Unfortunately it's like administering CPR to the already dead patient!
  20. Dunno Ian but whatever they are drinking must be a controlled substance!
  21. One thing I can definitely say from a sales point of view if you like is that with any tv deal, the term ' subject to availability' really does a strong sense of meaning 😄
  22. As many have said, one league could be done with 6 man teams and rookies at the bottom end of every team. As I've said before the hand will be forced I feel.
  23. That wouldn't surprise me to be honest. There are a number of motorcycle dealers in the area that have always backed the club in many ways.
  24. No need Dean, the people running British Speedway have been gambling for years!
