Is that on the star website?

Back in the early 2000s when the doubling up rule was introduced for young British riders I thought at the time that it would spiral out of control and it has. I don't think anyone knows all the facts about yesterday, but Mr jolly needs to provide a full explanation to all that can be assessed before we start shooting off distress flairs.

So cl said it was our most lacklustre performance in all his time at the club. My God he must need a slab lifter to move his encyclopedia! -

Last season finished on the 24th September. I have a sneaking suspicion this season might finish after the rearranged Sheffield meeting in early September. Truly shocking and no amount of b@locks from the management will suffice. -

We need to improve or it could be some life support for our ever dwindling crowds. However we keep saying it every week we must win but I do a agree that a haul of say 6 or 7 points this weekend could potentially put our season back on track. Our top 5 is now as good as any in this league but we now have to walk the walk. -

I admire your enthusiasm bruv but I think the fat lady done a Mr creosote a long time ago. -
Let's hope so.
-
Thanks bruv. There's some pretty daming statistics there. But us 'whingers' are often told its all rosy in the garden.

General question here. If we do finish say 9th or 10th in this league. Can anyone tell me the last time we finished this low down in the second tier? Presumably we would be talking early 60's or late 50's.

Very very poor again tonight I'm afraid.I suspect over the next few days and weeks (after a probable heavy slap at Edinburgh tommorow) that both management and riders will be bumping their gums. What difference will it make? None let's face it were crap. The writing has been on the wall for 2 or 3 years now and the chickens are at home roosting -

Real acid test is this one. Win and we know the changes will push us on, lose and in reality it's game over. CL says we can get a point at Edinburgh. Mines a pint of that please! -

Hang on a minute! e-mail spedeworth, I am sorry chaps but it's for Ipswich speedway to demand that 'their' PA system is working correctly when they pay their rent. Imagine if you hired a car for the day, you drove down the road and the exhaust fell off, you wouldn't pay the hire companies bill would you? -
Underwhelming appointment I'm afraid if barker has replaced Kerr. Let's face it if barker was any good then why would Glasgow ditch him. And in any case barker was poop when he was here before.

Cheers Macca.

Can I apologise to all here as I didn't think that throwing a pebble in the pond would cause a tsunami. I merely asked if someone could pm me with regards to next year.
-
That sounds good,as long as the riders are not left overs and hand me downs. I 've been surprised that a well known local speedway hack has not been more vocal regarding the poop that has Been served up.
-
Well said sb, by the way can someone send me a pm regarding next year as clearly I am missing the gig.
-
If we can replace up to 7.74 then that proves how crap we really are. Realistically I think we'll beat red car but the important thing is by how many. Let's face it if we are poor then redcar are p1ss poor. Wholesale changes are now required if we really want to make the play offs while we still have a chance. I'd dispense with both reserves and Kerr. On top of that I'd expect dramatic improvement from king or I would get rid. Yes that's controversial for some but this is a results business. Who'd do we bring in, well that's down to averages and who wants to ride for a failing team! One thing is for sure, sparks are flickering in Rome and someone needs to put them out fast. Otherwise they'll be no one going to foxhall or worse still no speedway at foxhall. Dwindling attendances is the quickest way to ruin as we all know!

In the 70s and 80s we must have had shares in brasso. We've all long forgotten what it's for. -

What will the management say after this one. Must be running out of rags to polish the turd with! -

A win tonight would be massive in terms of a confidence boost with two home meetings coming up. Trouble is now that the inconsistency has become inconsistent. We'll either run them close or get smashed to pieces, no one knows. -
Looking further ahead. Are we to assume that Monday will be aquaplaining on bikes given the weather forecast.

Peterborough V Ipswich Plc Sunday 22nd May
TB1 replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Added to the fact that losing is a bad habit to get rid of. Are there any more changes on the way or are carrying on with what we have. I bet next Monday at Peterborough won't be this close. Must wins against Redcar and Glasgow if we want any chance of the play off. Please I do not wish to take any responsibility for anyone choking on my previous sentence.😅
