Very very poor again tonight I'm afraid.I suspect over the next few days and weeks (after a probable heavy slap at Edinburgh tommorow) that both management and riders will be bumping their gums. What difference will it make? None let's face it were crap. The writing has been on the wall for 2 or 3 years now and the chickens are at home roosting

A win tonight would be massive in terms of a confidence boost with two home meetings coming up. Trouble is now that the inconsistency has become inconsistent. We'll either run them close or get smashed to pieces, no one knows.

Looking further ahead. Are we to assume that Monday will be aquaplaining on bikes given the weather forecast.

Added to the fact that losing is a bad habit to get rid of. Are there any more changes on the way or are carrying on with what we have. I bet next Monday at Peterborough won't be this close. If they did pull the plug who would be brave or daft enough to take it on. I've always believed if it's marketed well enough and the team does well then crowds might return. Thanks to spedeworth the old reputation of foxhole is fast disappearing. A number of people have said to me in the last couple of years how much foxhall is improving as a spectator facility. It's just a pity about the dross on offer speed way wise!

I think last night Edinburgh got the 5-1 in 13 and I think they could smell blood and went for the kill. We just got lucky in 15 and I could see where John Campbell would be fuming. What I have noticed over the last few years is that when we lose at home, it Is not always because we are poor but we are often tactically outfought by the opposition. Basically a succession of poor team managers making poor tactical choices.

Next season baldy? Even the groundhog has had enough.

In previous years those of us that dare to criticise were vilified. Now I would suggest that those running and around the club are giving us politicians responses to the fact that we are crap. I accept silk purses don't come from sows ears, but we can't even rustle up a plastic one! Maybe that's how far we have fallen.

Rubbish we are and papering over the cracks. If I was in Edinburgh's shoes I would be furious that king was allowed back in 15. Master's and Fisher were nowhere near him, but sometimes you get the rub of the green. As bad as we are I think we will win most at home by the odd few, but we will come a cropper in a few. The problem is with that team we will get smashed on the road. I can see a season with no wins on the road.the likes of Plymouth and Redcar will see us as maximum points.more alarmingly wasn't the crowd poor tonight, I guess somewhere between 5 and 700.

To be fair the management have changed basically the whole team and its not working. However the fact that they can't put their finger on the problem is a bit worrying. At this point I don't see any benefit in making any further team changes. What does concern me is that if we do beat a half baked Edinburgh team will it just paper over the cracks.

I liked 95 and 96, different opposition every week made a change. From memory I don't think the top club promoters liked it. The annoying thing is that promoters always talk about change but no one actually ever does it. Bit like trying to put a house fire out with a bucket of water. Cost is obviously a huge factor. Does anyone remember the Honda experiment at Sheffield a few years ago. Why was it never followed up.
