  1. Tonight was a perfect example why, no matter how much they are both bigged up, neither Kurtz or Holder will ever be anywhere near World class riders. I doubt if Holder will ever even make it into the GP series, let alone be any good in it! Kurtz MAY qualify once or twice in his career but will never be a regular or winner. Big well done to Ipswich for winning it but oh, what a horrendously poor meeting and the atmosphere considering the occasion and result, seemed equally as poor!
  2. Motivation doesn’t strike me as his strongest point, to be fair!!
  3. All over now, got to congratulate Poole on how they have turned this around tonight, they have gated brilliantly and that’s all that matters.
  4. Poole will win this by 4 tonight......huge missed opportunity by Ipswich to have sewn it up tonight but I reckon Poole will ultimately go through now.
  5. Well if THAT's what "the overwhelming majority" want to watch and call entertaining and value for money speedway these days, then you are welcome to it!!....(from someone who has been watching the sport for over 45 years)
  6. So for some people, it appears that it’s just about the crowd size and “occasion” then rather than the actual racing itself! ......Count me out then as I thought speedway was about RACING and excitement, not about dancing girls, flashing lights and stupid little flags!
  7. Of course I realise the crowd would be much less, but if there is no intention of ever having a GP on a proper track with some proper racing, then WHY was it built and called what it is called?....Stuff the 40,000 and all the gimmicks and rubbish a lot of them go for, I'm just interested in watching good speedway RACING on a track where riders can actually overtake someone! More fool those who waste their money each year on that tripe!
  8. What a complete and utter load of rubbish that was!...again!!. Sick to death of the shouty twins building up the British GP for weeks beforehand every year, only for more times or not, it turns out to be a waste of time! The sport builds a “National Speedway Stadium” which is a proper speedway track that produces good racing most of the time, yet doesn’t use it! It prefers the razzmatazz and all that crap, that this temporary track provides and to hell with actually being interested in providing some good racing! Still, as long as the punters continue to take their brains out and pay the stupid prices to watch such dross each year, then nothing will change.
  9. Well, what a complete utter load of tripe that was!!.......probably the worst GP of the season (and there were a few completely rubbish ones at the start too!).
  10. Agree. He won't be in the GP's next season and that will be good as he would be an also ran if he was in them. Its all very well for "youngsters" to have time out from top line Speedway and then come back and get into the swing of things within a few weeks/months but someone who will be FIFTY next season is not going to be the same. He will not be as fit as he was (no matter what he has been doing), his reflexes will be another year older and also have become lazier, his body will ache more and he will not have the sharpness from the gate he has been famous for. Look at Tai, he's still nowhere near at his best yet after his injury, and I know that Greg has not had an injury but being out of speedway for any length of time takes its toll and theres no way he will be anywhere near the rider he has been IF he tried again in the GP's next year. Common sense will (hopefully) prevail and he will retire gracefully, you see.
  11. Spot on! A truly amazing meeting with more lead changes in the first four races than the previous 72 GP races this season, added together! I dont care if its fair or not but just cancel all the remaining 5 GP's and hold all the rounds at Wroclaw! One of the best meetings i have ever seen!
  12. Be it pointless or not but there was more passing and interest in that meeting tonight than all the GP's this season put together (not to mention the dreadful SON rubbish from last week!)
  13. It's unfair to be too critical of team GB as our best two riders are injured but come on, this is just a complete embarrassment.
  14. And some people want to see him in the GP's again next season!! He was embarrassing enough in his last two or three goes a few years ago, so can you imagine what he'd be like now! Reckon Poland will win this tomorrow now, when they actually use their best riders as there's no way that Dudek will not be riding. Was utterly ridiculous in the first place that he wasn't but after that effort from Magic tonight, even if he's not injured, there's no way he will be picked again on Sunday.
  15. Spot on, apart from about three races tonight, it was just like the previous two rounds, a total bore fest. The fact that several different riders are all in with a good chance of being World Champion is the only thing worth tuning in for this season so far.
  16. Regardless of all the arguments on here (from the usual suspects!!) , as a neutral fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting which was by far the best one on TV this season.
  17. The shouty twins could make a two snail race, where one of them is dead!, sound exciting with their inane noises and ridiculous words. It's their job!
  18. What an embarrassment of a meeting that was!.... THREE position passes all night and no lead changes whatsoever. Utter and complete rubbish.
  19. The best three riders who will enhance the GP series next season is who I want to see. Not someone who flukes a top 3 place in the final and who will be an embarrassment when it comes to the GP's next year and there's certainly a few names in there who have a history of that too!!....(sadly, two of them are British!!)
  20. Hottest, driest Summer for decades, there is no excuse, except for gross incompetence, for any team not to have completed their home fixtures on time.
  21. 16 wins from the inside gate and people wonder why speedway is on its knees!!....Utter rubbish entertainment AGAIN (as per the previous two rounds) This years GP series has so far, been the worst for a long long time. Hoping it will get better but i doubt it will as it is already looking like theres only one winner of the series this year! (naturally as well, as this is the first time for 3 years that I didnt put a wad of cash on Woffendon winning, before the series started!!!!!).
  22. Where the F### is the crowd?!!..... Big success this event, eh?!!!....
