Struggle to understand why Matt is so surprised at KK's performance last week. It is hardly surprising that he was able to go unbeaten on a track he knows as well as any, when the Poole riders are 'not doing what they were brought in to do'. Always going to happen really!

But that is exactly the point gavan is making Steve, undoubtedly one of the most talented speedway riders we have ever seen but you cannot class him as one of the greats as his potential was never realised sadly. Sporting greats are usually measured but their achievements and for that reason doesn't come close.

I agree that you cannot judge a fan by the number of meetings they attend but all sports/businesses need their income streams so the sport is affected by non-attending. Over the years some of the most vociferous critics of Peterborough Speedway were fans that had never set foot inside the Showground, that does wind me up!

I sympathise with you sentiments and agree Coventry Speedway was one if not the greatest speedway clubs in it's heyday but as DJ350 says with speedway in such a parlous state who honestly is likely to put money into the sport to run Coventry particularly with the issues regarding Bandon, a new venue, current owners, Brandon Estates etc etc. Such a great shame!

Is it me or do I detect that Middlo is very quiet this season? Doesn't seem to be mentioned in many press releases etc.

I don't think the rumours have just come from me but it is pure speculation on my part. It is just what I feel and hear from some quarters.

KK was fine for Coventry in 2016. I like the guy. Regarding Matt Ford, I said months ago on this thread before the start of the season that he would be gone in a couple of seasons, I reckon that isn't far off coming true! I know he is being criticised at the moment but better the devil..........

I imagine it would be pretty difficult to prove a criminal case against Sandhu especially as the police are not keen on disputes over civil matters.

Yes, doesn't look great. Having bought and sold businesses with leasehold premises and fixtures and fittings in dispute over who owns them - the lawyers will always have a field day! And that's without a criminal investigation going on. I do hope this can be sorted as we really need Coventry back running in the top flight for 2018.

I would be amazed if a car dealership has that sort of money to throw around in sports sponsorship. If they have I think there should be some decent discounts to be had!!

Anyone remember Stuart Cope who rode for Boston and I think he had one season with Coventry. He is very small in stature.

Jon Armstrong must be similar in size to those riders quoted above.
