  1. Who was Tai referring to in that interview when he said he does not trust that specific rider? Pearson glossed over it of course, thought it was not worthy of discussion.
  2. Exactly right. Seems to me Harris is unfairly excluded by default a fair bit in the GPs. Clearly caused by Freddie lifting, took Harris's front wheel and his bike took Doyle. Not deliberate by any of the riders, but it all started by Freddie lifting.
  3. So whose league should take precedent? Maybe the only rule should be riders should give priority to fixtures in their own nation, i.e. Poles must ride in Poland on fixture clashes, Danes in Denmark and Brits in the UK.
  4. Which Poole team do you refer to? The league season or the one Poole will inevitably create for those final four play-off matches?
  5. But didn't Holder take a season out from British speedway about three seasons ago?
  6. What sort of money are we talking about? How much do riders earn in Poland, compared to Sweden and the UK? Would riding in Poland alone be enough for top riders or would a combined Swedish and UK income be greater than riding in Poland? I guess what I am asking is if the Poles do start to play silly games, can the British/Swedish leagues offer enough between them to ensure riders don't actually need Poland?
  7. I see Bjarne is out for Tungate. No mention of Hans back in for Lindback... funny that.
  8. If Hans is now riding, he should be back in place of Lindback tomorrow, otherwise Poole are surely guilty of a team change beyond the deadline?
  9. It is an argument (or debate) if somebody disagrees, and I do on principle, he walked away from them so he can jolly well qualify. But that said, he's a top rider (I don't think he's quite good as people think he is), so if he is selected I would be fascinated to see how he does. Not read thread fully. Nicki Emil (reluctantly) Hampel if he wants it. One other.
  10. I hope so, the only time he had to race because he messed the start up and he was dead, dead, dead last. Doyle is a racer, and a fantastic advert for a speedway world champion. Something that Kelvin was asked tonight was about 'racing brain' and he agreed with Pearson that Doyle and Woffy are both riders who race with their brains, and I fully agree with that. But last season Doyle wasn't racing with his brain, but with his heart and going for gaps not there, and so was involved in a few incidents and rightly excluded a few times. Since last season he's clearly learned (you could argue that's why Nicki is involved a lot, he never learned when to open the throttle and when to wait for another chance). I don't know if Doyle took a good look at last season or if someone's been advising him, but whatever full credit to him.
  11. I am surprised Pearson didn't know what that was all about... i.e. Ricciardo in F1.
  12. Harris gets it wrong sometimes, but he did nothing wrong there at all. Kildermand should have gone there.
  13. Ha, I actually had to read it twice too thinking I had read that... funny how our minds work.
  14. Well Leicester did it in the Premier League so lets hope we have a Leicester in speedway soon... you know a team like, well eer Leicester.
  15. That was heat of moment, he was having a crap night and was interviewed about his crap night, it slipped out, natural not premediated like Tai. Try again.
  16. But at least he rode some league matches, not just in for the play-off's.
  17. I still can't believe how so focussed on fawning over Holder in that final race, Pearson twice told the viewers Holder had mad a perfect start, when Freddie was 2 or 3 bike lengths clear coming off the first bend.
  18. Strange crash, in the respect we've seen much worse with no injuries, was it was the speed of it that caused the damage. Hopefully speedy return and he is back really mixing it with the GP next season.
  19. Indeed, both Tai and Freddie dropped a load of points, so if they are on form Monday that's a big swing there, and then it depends how the wolves reserves compare to Poole. Could be close.
  20. The rules allow it, so they can. But I still believe bringing a rider in just for the play-off's whose not ridden any qualification meetings is morally wrong.
  21. How can people on here defend Pearson as a great commentator, he is woeful, and such a Holder suck up. In that final race he is 'Holder's made a perfect start, great start for Holder when Freddie was three bike lengths clear down the back straight',
  22. Remind me again, how is it possible Poole can bring in a world class rider whose not ridden for them all season? Farce
  23. What did I say. PEarson and Poole fans say nothing about Holder's first heat move, but there similar incident, in which Howarth gave Ellis loads of space and Pearson is suggesting Howarth was naughty and Poole fans booing.
