  1. I see Middlo is playing the victim card again on Twitter. Neil Middleditch @middlo57 · 14h 14 hours ago Called all the names I knew today nobody has any idea what's going on this is beyond a joke it doesn't HAVE to take this long!!#disgraceful
  2. Exactly, the thing the consumer needs to remember is that for Sky it is better they get something each month rather than nothing. I am happy to pay £32 a month, but I would not pay close to £60 a month unless I was at home all day watching hours and hours of TV.
  3. For all those people moaning about paying your Sky subscription, I generally find a little haggling is enough to get the full package for a good price. Sometimes you have to give the months notice to leave, and then call back a couple of weeks later to see if they have any deals to keep you. I have had Sky half-price for a couple of years now and I find £32 a month very good value for money for the amount of TV I watch. I tend to think of it this way, if I watch one football match a week or one cricket game in the Summer and one speedway meeting, plus say one movie a week, all of that is well worth less than £7.50 a week. I can't believe that some people only buy Sky to watch speedway and don't actually watch any of the other sport or channels.
  4. Not at all, I think what Gavan is saying is that it is acceptable to say 'I am a Poole fan, I support Darcy but on this occasion he was a bit silly and sadly, he will need to be punished. I will support him on his return'. That would be an acceptable thing to say, showing support for your team and your rider. Sadly what we seem to see from many Poole fans is... 'I am a Poole fan, and Darcy is my hero. He did nothing wrong and the FIM are bastards for dragging this farcical hearing out'.
  5. Here is an idea, check out www.google.co.uk to see exactly what I mean, lots of articles on the subject. You brought football into it, so let me just add, I love how Liverpool fans like to moralise, the same set of fans who used to chant about Munich for years (I believe they still do) everytime they played Man Utd.
  6. I know, 99% of me think he is getting just deserts, but 1% of me feels for him that the wait is leaving him uncertain (I have been there, it's not nice).
  7. I never thought I would say this, but I am starting to feel a little bit (just a little bit) sorry for the fella.
  8. That's what happens when you put 2+2 together, get it wrong, my comment was aimed at the place in general, even some of my Liverpudlian friends agree. As for Hillsborough, it's off topic, the innocent died that day, but I am happy to debate that and Heysel on the football thread.
  9. Not at all, most of us just find it pathetic how everyone associated with Poole are waiving the 'victim' status over Ward (he should be in Liverpool!). If, as it appears he is guilty I personally think a ban taking into account time served suspended should be made, meaning he gets his slap on the wrist but is green lighted to ride again.
  10. A quoute from Mr Ward earlier today on Twitter, which I do somewhat understand his frustrations. He was silly, and I have little sympathy, but I do understand. What I don't understand are the idiots that reply back to him, some examples below. I have removed their Twitter names to protect the utterly stupid! That said, amongst the lunacy was a rare and sole Tweet reply of sanity.
  11. It doesn't matter if the time scales are appropriate or not. All could have been avoided by Mr Ward not drinking the day before a World Championship racing event. End of.
  12. You can understand Ward misunderstanding but his legal team were there I think I read, so you would assume they didn't misunderstand, or have badly advised Ward.
  13. We are all entitled to one.. just some are more stupid than others.
  14. So basically you are suggesting he should have suggested he was hoping to get off on a technicality? He got caught out, he should be holding his hands up and now be saying 'I made a mistake and I will accept my punishment'.
  15. Exactly... maybe they should stop listening to the sycophants and start listening to the critics (when fair), and then maybe in Ward's case this would have never happened.
  16. And? Ward was caught, riders at Cardiff haven't been. End of. Time to face his punishment (be that suspended or fixed ban of some kind or just a warning).
  17. Thanks for updating on the Swedish side of things Ghostwalker
  18. I have a question, what do the fans of Ward's Swedish and Polish clubs feel about it all? Are those fans acting as stupid as Poole fans are about it all, and bleating about his innocence too?
  19. I didn't raise a squeak? I am so sorry Starboy, I don't actually spend all day on the forum looking for your posts. I just happened to see that latest post and comment. Your comment 'simple as' seems to suggest it is a factual accuracy, it isn't it is your opinion. Random testing is far more important to catch people out, as appears to be the case here and across other sports. How often do you read of sportsmen and women suddenly have testers turn up at their door? Frequently! What that does is make sure that sportsmen and women are not using between competition, and in the case of speedway random testing at different meetings across the world should ensure riders remain appropriate throughout the week. If a rider knows he will be test every two weeks at a GP he may use substances between GPs but stay sober for a few days prior to a GP. Random testing is far better to 'catch users out'.
  20. This is the kind of stupid moron that follows Darcy, and one of the replies he received to that tweet.
  21. It's our Winter speedway entertainment. It's, a comedy.
  22. Based on what facts? You could turn that around and say that Ward given them more than enough to ensure a long drawn out affair, whatever way you look at it, the person that caused this deserves your blame, not the FIM.
  23. Many of those that have commented really are stupid aren't they, hard to disagree with your description there. All making out the FIM are in the wrong, none pointing out Ward's own actions being the instigator in all of this.
