  1. Unless the same site also includes a vote for how many are not supporting Darcy then your point is not really worth much. Still, at least we now know how many Poole fans are out there, 2,315 by the looks of it
  2. I think those people have a name... sycophants.
  3. I have been away from here for a bit, so to save trawling through hundreds of pages when is Ward's hearing?
  4. Some interesting points from the BSPA meeting, and some moves in the right direction. However, I don't see any kind of long term planning to bring the sport back towards greatness. We have these BSPAS meetings year-after-year, either reactionary to the preceding seasons failures, or plans for the year or two ahead but with no long term planning in place long term to improve the sport, or to help clubs become more financial viable.
  5. So, you have run out of valid arguments to debate with me, you resort to this. The FACT is we can blame the FIM, the world for hating him but the only person to blame is himself, is that not a FACT?
  6. You have been sitting on poorly run committee's then. The Chair's role is guiding the committee and where the committee is split, will have a casting vote.
  7. I guess the morale of the story is the rider should not have been drinking in the first place to cause this FIM delay and thus causing such impact on his clubs across Europe.
  8. (http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway/piratesnews/11603871.Speedway__Darcy_Ward_s_waiting_game__immoral__says_Poole_Pirates_boss_Matt_Ford/) For once I do partially agree with Ford that it is unfair on the clubs that the ban/suspension is pending, they need to plan ahead, and I guess so does Ward too. Not sure 'immoral' is the right word though. Where I question this article is this part: Surely the point is that when tested, Ward was over the limit and was due to be on track in that state. So I am not sure what Ford means by this?
  9. Oh dear, it must be so difficult always being the victims. Darcy Ward has just one single person to blame, that is himself. Although the Darcy Ward sycophants perhaps need to ask themselves questions too.
  10. Well maybe you should ask yourself why people want him punished. What was it Mario wrote on his t-shirt a few years ago? 'Why always me?'
  11. I have never driven under the influence, no. But that is hardly the point, the topic is about Darcy Ward, is that your only defence to the points I made? Scraping the bottom of the barrel there! Exactly. These comments published yesterday don't seem to suggest anybody in Dorset have learned a bloody thing. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/11601293.Darcy_Ward__Speedway_ban_so_hard_to_take_but_Poole_Pirates_are_pulling_me_through/ Had they been harder on him a couple of years ago when the previous problems occurred, maybe we would not be here now. Ha, you are some kind of idiot to moan about the number of posts. This is a DISCUSSION forum, hence the number of posts and comments on a topical discussion in our sport.
  12. He is meant to be a role model, so he needs to do far more. Where is the public statement explaining his actions were wrong, and does not condone drinking whilst operating motor vehicles of any kind, especially in racing environments. Do that, and people may start to believe he has learned his lesson and actually respect him a little. Talk of hydration is irrelevant, he should not be drinking to excess when racing within 24 hours (IMO). We all know Poole fans are totally blinded by their blue tinted glasses, but I would love to know if they would all adapt the same stupid 'defence' if the rider was say Harris or Nicholls who rode for other Coventry/Swindon/Belle Vue etc... I suspect not!
  13. Glad to see the morons on here are still alive and kicking, but credit to you Third Man for making a valuable point. Takes guts to stand up to something like this, especially if it involves the club close to your heart. It's a shame United put her in that position, but well done to Charlie for taking this stance, and this evening to the Utd shirt sponsors for making their position clear if they resign the scumbag.
  14. I am not so much worried about the ban length provided the rider accepts their mistake and shows some level of remorse at potential risk to colleagues. In this case, I am yet to see anything from Ward along those lines.
  15. Seriously, we are basing the future of the sport on discussions about a friggin two minute clock. Bigger picture people, bigger picture. And as for the suggestion of a Sky representation there, no chance, it's not their sport.
  16. It wouldn't make sense, and I don't think it would be financially viable for one of the two teams.
  17. I would. Long Eaton may exist in name today, but riding away from the area means it is not my team. So Cradely riding at Birmingham is not really Cradley, it is Birmingham in disguise, and would not help attract new local fans to the stadium if the team is called something other than Birmingham.
  18. Ha! what does Darcy do off the track? eeer, we better not go down that road again, all a bit seedy. What does Nicki do? Well hate him or love him, he is fairly professional off the track.
  19. Regardless, she is spot on about that scumbag at Sheffield Utd. I can't believe their fans are asking for his name to be put on the back of their shirt. Personally I have always though Blades fans were inbreds, I mean, years later they still chant 'scabs' when Forest play them. Then again, I am biased after some twit of a Blade fan who was not even born when the miners strikes were on spat at me near the station when calling me a scab.
  20. But at some world finals we never always had the best riders then either. Ward is missing because he is a prat, Emil missing because of finances? What other top riders are we missing? I was not a fan of the series at first, but I think it does offer a truer reflection of a true World Champion with form over a season.
  21. So discussions are not allowed now then just because one or two are not happy at no recent news? Silly me, I thought it was discussion forum.
  22. Shame to see the Star joined the anti Nicki brigade today on the opening pages.
  23. Why lock it? Not out of hand, it's simply being discussed. Admittedly over, and over again.
