  1. Whilst accepting I haven't been reading the Scunny thread, I haven't noticed if Somerset asset Alex Davies has signed for anyone yet. Could it be that he is in the mix for a middle order slot at the OTA?
  2. I should have explained better.... Pirates of Poole has the 2016 line up as 2015 beneath his avatar
  3. There are more positive posters on this forum regarding Plymouth speedway from fans from other clubs than there are Plymouth fans. There's the odd positive one from lewy, but even he's losing the plot cos he posted something nice about Somerset recently!
  4. Shall we guess what part of the season he will go missing? I will go for August. Oh Lordy, how relieved are we all!
  5. Tungate and Holder would be two terrific signings. Both improved the more they rode the OTA last season. Would more than make up for the unexpected departure of Brady Kurtz.
  6. We sent around 25,000 to the Falklands and at least double that many to Iraq. A lot of them may not be OAP's but a fair few will be.
  7. He's the same with Swindon. Has a little gloat at other clubs problems and issues.
  8. Last at war when? Weren't we at war in 1982 in the Falklands? And what about the Iraq invasion in 1990/91? There are certainly some OAP's amongst those who fought got their country in those wars.
  9. On that point, I noticed Batchelor was praising the Wolverhampton track and how well it is prepared......
  10. Fair enough, I guess you are in a better position than me to judge him in Aces colours. Just recall a rather cheesed off Morton in SS, very disgruntled with him. That said, I remember this time last season when Swindon were searching for a number one and his name kept cropping up. Although I do enjoy watching him, especially when he's flying, I wouldn't want him riding for the Robins.
  11. He did let Belle Vue down. I remember Chris Morton complaining about his performances when the going got tough towards the end of the season. That was the last seen of him in Aces colours.
  12. What? Is that the same crowd pleaser who let Bellevue, Lakeside and Coventry down? Oh and is that the bloke who 'gave it his all' with his fake shoulder injury and couldn't ride for Poole but jolly well rode in Poland? The guy is a liability and WILL LET YOU DOWN!!
  13. For potentially a great little club with a terrific racing circuit, I have never known such bitter in fighting. Some posters on here beggar belief with their negativity towards the club. I note that as the Devils superb run continued last season taking them into the play offs, these same negative posters strangely disappeared. But hey, it is now the close season, and they seem to be creeping back.....
  14. If I'm right in saying the Poole side currently has Holder, Andersen, Buczkowski, Kurtz, Newman and Ellis, that is shaping up as a formidable side. I can only see improvement (on last season) in all 6 of the aforementioned
  15. Most things come in three's....have always said it, KK is brilliant to watch, and his style is suited to Lakeside's tight turns, but undoubtedly at some stage, he will let you down.
  16. He's a terrific talent and a natural on a speedway machine. I've been fortunate to watch him over the past two years and in my opinion he is a GP rider of the future. At 18 years old he took over the number one position from Josh Grajczonek and pretty much sustained his performances all season, and in the meantime guested as number one for both Peterborough and Sheffield on a regular basis.
  17. I will concede that Rosco did the right thing in giving Batchelor the captaincy. Firstly to make him grow up, secondly to give him the extra responsibility. He proved beyond all reasonable doubt that he is most definitely not a leader. Darcy's supreme but oh so short appearances for the Robins gave Batch a kick up the ass ( why would he ever need that?) now there's talk/hope that Doyley will do the same! Get shot before we have to suffer any tantrums and get someone in with the will to ride for Swindon and the desire to win. As TR and Rosco say, the right mental strength.
