  1. It's not a new thing. Clubs in the lower divisions have always done it. KKS is always the first to gloat, so I thought I would mention a rare Swindon win at your place. 3 months ago, Swindon were rock bottom, now looking to push for a play off place. Happy days.
  2. Thought I'd remind you about the decent away win for Swindon today!
  3. Saw him at Oxford in 2007 Blueboy, guesting for the Robins. I thought then, what a prospect. He pulled wheelies then and it was evident how cock sure he was even at age 17. Sadly, I don't share the optimism shown by Lakeside fans about his future prospects. He's (another) accident waiting to happen.
  4. Let's be honest, there aren't too many tracks in the ascendancy as regards improvement these days. Seems that Monmore has remained consistent over recent times , but even tracks like Peterborough and Somerset have had their challenging seasons of late. Kings Lynn and Coventry have been heavily criticised as had Swindon, which all used to be fine racing circuits in years gone by.
  5. Statman does the text updates at Somerset home matches How many last chance saloons are there though? Didn't he have one of those at Eastbourne when he thumped a guy in a nightclub? Or did he not get one of those when he head butted a fan at Lakeside? Or maybe even when he opted out half way through a season at Lakeside? Or perhaps when he counted himself in for the new season at Coventry before opting out again?
  6. I've said the same on the Bellevue thread when the Aces signed Boxall, he's far too unreliable. Yes, he can ride the SBA, but after a few weeks travelling all that way from his South east home, he would find an excuse not to turn up. He did the same when he was signed by Swindon some years back, then at Somerset and finally recently Bellevue.
  7. Like Boxall, Jacobs won't last the season. Replaced by April.
  8. Tungate is younger and has had a promising season in Oz. North was also very inconsistent at PL level. Maybe not as good as North just yet, but potential to become better I reckon.
  9. Not sure he's ridden too much at Blunsdon. I've seen him at Somerset several times. Last season he posted a very decent 16 points and looked very fast. Diminutive rider, dare I say it, he reminds me of Mike Keen!
  10. Well he did OK in patches.... Fortunately for the Pirates he finished the season strongly. Had he continued with his form leading up to the play offs, there would have been plenty calling for his head!
  11. How do you mean 'even' Leicester can complete their team?
  12. Bjerre is a damn good option! Barker isn't too shabby either and nor is Michelsen. Rosco will sort it.
  13. I'm not particularly a fan of Bjerre, but if he is available and he fits, surely he is a 'no brainier' signing? Unlike Batchelor, I reckon he has improvement in him. He's a potential regular 7 pointer in my book. The only concern is it may attract a certain Peterborough fan to this thread all season
  14. Barker, and Batch in the same team? Hope Lynn have a healthy supply of dummies!
