  1. Hopefully if Wally is riding the management will get his rides out of the way by heat 7 on Thursday.
  2. Absolutely. Especially with Lakeside winning tonight at Sheffield. I think it will be close but hopefully we will just about have enough.
  3. So good to see Mark Riss scoring well again tonight, it's amazing what having your favourite track as your home can do for your confidence. I guess a happy rider is a better rider. He seems to be able to score ok in our main body. Come on the Witches!
  4. It looks to me like Danyon put too much pressure on himself at championship level and tries too hard. He should of just taken second instead of pushing for first as he was never going to retake Mason in heat 8. Perhaps a full season at national league level would be the way forward.
  5. Linus Sundstrom 6.40 x 1.3 = 8.32
  6. I thought Workington were the better side and I was glad that Klindt had bike troubles early on if not we would have lost by a lot more. Sorry to say but changes are needed and more than one.
  7. What about Kai Huckenbeck. I think he would be on 5.53 x 1.3 = 7.18. Thought he look good in SON.
  8. So how come other teams have replaced their injured riders just before the new averages and we didn’t...... did they know something we didn’t......!
  9. Well how long are we going to have to suffer this under performing team? One win at home out of four is just not good enough and yet again the Witches management seem to have been confused by the average changes which means that we will only be able to bring in lower averages riders than the starting averages. We had 7.49 to play with when Nico got hurt and now we only have 6.30..... you could write it!!!
  10. King - looks fast but doesn’t know how to team ride. Hartel - looks ok should achieve at least a 5 average. Schlein - looks good should be riding at 5 Heeps - A bit better tonight but still needs to improve his gating as there is no outside line at Foxhall at the mo Covatti - Needs to be protected by riding at 3 or 4 Mountain - Needs to improve around Foxhall, he’s been here long enough now Hume - A bit better tonight, got in Heeps’ way in heat 14 but on the positive he stayed on his bike tonight and was practicing after the meeting Hawkins - has not impressed so far, got riding order wrong, doesn’t seem to have the ability to inspire the team maybe he’s to matey matey with the riders. It needs to change soon or it will be a hard rut to get out of......
  11. So when will the management realise that we should have our strongest riders at 1 and 5.
  12. I believe it's 40.21 and exactly the team I had come up with. If the limit is 45 then you could change any of the top 6 for a big hitter or change Danyon for a 6.70 rider and have Cam and Kyle at reserve.
  13. I rightly booed Scott for taking Nathan off in heat 1. Speedway bikes are only supposed to turn left not right. Thankfully Nathan was able to continue but still not a good move by Scott. In his last 3 heats he show what a good rider and guest he can be.
  14. Hopefully the Witches management haven't missed a trick by getting a guest for Cam instead of Justin. Whilst I like Lewis Kerr I think we should have tried to get either Mark Riss or Ryan Douglas as a guest which would mean Rory gets an extra ride.
  15. I thought the track was good last night, yes it had to be attacked but was a fair race track. Sheffield's riders seem to adapt to it quicker than the Witches riders. My only complaint would be that there doesn't seem to be an inside line which is frustrating as that was part of the reasoning for the track work in the close season. I didn't think the track was to blame for Nathan's fall, from where I stood it looked like he ran out of room.
  16. Not sure if Kennett is the answer only seems to ride Rye House well nowadays and he couldn't hold down a place in their team.
  17. So near and yet so far...... why is Sedgeman at 5? If the Witches want to win anything this season the management must be ruthless and replace under performing riders. There are riders out there that are not riding in the uk at the moment! We need someone who can ride away tracks - names that spring to mind Berge, Vissing, Robson, Busk Jacobsen, Porsing or even Allen. Have the bspa decided on the conversion fron prem to champ?
  18. 2.45 as you can't change two riders at the same time and combine their averages when total team averages are over 40 Sorry correction 2.67 as that is Connor's average now.
  19. Speedway is all about ifs, buts and maybes and that is why we love it. Look at last night's meeting at Foxhall Heats 1 - 7 only 1 Witches heat winner (Danny x 2) Score 19 - 22 and in heats 8 - 14 only 1 Monarchs heat winner Score 46 - 37. Quite a turnaround.
  20. Jake Allen - 5.96 / Kai Huckenbeck 5.14 / Adam Roynon 5.12 / Kasper Lykke Neilsen 5.16 & Ben Morley 3.85 / Dawid Strachrya 4.00 / Zach Wajknecht 2.63
  21. Well Baldyman. I've never made comment on the make up of the side and I've always tried to be positive about all things Witches but my honest opinion is that we are to top heavy which has left us very weak at reserve. Both Danyon and now Nathan seem to be competitive and would have been successful signings. I think that our weakness at reserve was very clear when we brought in Justin and I believe that we should have changed the balance of the team then by bringing in 2 x 5 pointers in place of Nico and Connor who is really struggling.
