  1. Speedway is all about ifs, buts and maybes and that is why we love it. Look at last night's meeting at Foxhall Heats 1 - 7 only 1 Witches heat winner (Danny x 2) Score 19 - 22 and in heats 8 - 14 only 1 Monarchs heat winner Score 46 - 37. Quite a turnaround.
  2. Jake Allen - 5.96 / Kai Huckenbeck 5.14 / Adam Roynon 5.12 / Kasper Lykke Neilsen 5.16 & Ben Morley 3.85 / Dawid Strachrya 4.00 / Zach Wajknecht 2.63
  3. Well Baldyman. I've never made comment on the make up of the side and I've always tried to be positive about all things Witches but my honest opinion is that we are to top heavy which has left us very weak at reserve. Both Danyon and now Nathan seem to be competitive and would have been successful signings. I think that our weakness at reserve was very clear when we brought in Justin and I believe that we should have changed the balance of the team then by bringing in 2 x 5 pointers in place of Nico and Connor who is really struggling.
  4. Well Well Well where should the witches go from here. It seems that the fans that made the journey to Workington were not impressed with the lack of effort put in by some of the riders. Having not made the journey myself I am not able to make comment about the lack of effort but I am concerned with the lack of points scored hopefully all of the middle order riders had an off day and normal service will resume on Thursday. It needs to if we are going to continue to struggle away from home.
  5. As Tungate has completed 4h & 4a in the Championship with an average of 5.09. You would expect his average to be 5.09 x 1.4 = 7.126 (7.13) so it could be a straight swap for Oystercard.
  6. I thought that the track looked smooth if you pick the right lines. It seems like the riders only had issues when they didn't attack the track and let the bikes run. With the new shape and material you don't seem to have to turn the bike so sharp which last night caused the majority of the falls.
  7. I like what I saw of Nathan Greaves last night, it won't be his toughest test this season but at least he looks like a racer and was trying lots of different lines. He was in the mix in all of his races and made a couple of passes. In heat 15 he gave MPT a scare in bends 1 and 2. Well Done Nathan on a good debut and welcome to the Witches.
  8. Should be a good close meeting tonight..... Hopefully Danny and Rory will have better nights, Kyle and Justin will keep improving and Cam will continue his great start to the season. IF all of this happen (Wishful thinking!!) the reserves will not have to much pressure on them. Unfortunately if it doesn't happen then it will be nip and tuck all evening. What will we get????
  9. Ok thanks for the info. It's difficult to keep up with all the rule changes !! If they do, it's about time they stuck to a rule !
  10. Can someone explain when the riders averages should change after they have gained their new 2017 average? Is it still monthly or is it more frequent? Example: MPT 6.98 to 7.55 after 4h & 4a (30/4) and then 7.55 to 7.84 (15/5).
  11. Lambert 5.25 and Bacon 2.00 out and Ayres 3.70 and Wajknecht 2.53 in
  12. Covatti = 7.49, Hume = 2 and Spare = 0.39 giving us a total of 9.88 so how about Rasmus Jensen = 6.14 and Danny Ayres = 3.70 total 9.84 What would Toby Kroner be on?
  13. Ok thanks for the info. Another Guest tomorrow!
  14. Totally agree that Danyon's health comes first. Was just trying to find out what worst case scenario would be? Doesn't the rules say on 1st may bspa would decide rider averages for team building if 4h and 4a had not been completed by a rider. Or did I dream that!
  15. Really hope Danyon has broken anything.... but if he has what average will the bspa allocate him 2 or 4.57 ?
  16. Covatti looked quick in his first heat and was putting Baby Bjerre under all sorts of pressure. He was then quick and very smooth in his second heat. OK, he fell in his third whilst racing for the lead and looked after Hume in his fourth. 7+1 is ok with me.
  17. Wow!!!!! I thought I'd logged on to the Ipswich Witches SPEEDWAY forum not the 'National B*tchfest'. Please can we keep to the topic so I don't have to scroll through all this personal slagging dross. Many Thanks.
  18. Are there any drawings for the planned track change? Would be very interesting!
  19. Do all British riders get a average reduction and if so how much?
  20. Well done Somerset. Witches ran out of steam. Have to say never expected to even make the play offs so I guess we got a couple of extra meetings.
  21. Lanham would be interesting.......... Ipswich asset bombed out by Somerset when alot of Rebels fans would have given him rider of the year!!!!!!!!!!!
