Well I don't know where to start..... I'm absolutely disgusted with and amazed at what I have just watched. 8 points up and still can't win. Surely someone must take responsibility for the under performing team. The manager ??? The riders (well some of them) ??? Or even the promotion ??? I know everybody has their own views but mine is quite simple.... If you don't perform you lose your job that's what happens in all other work places. The most disappointing thing this season has been the lack of team riding from the witches..... Tun gate is the worst offender (heat 13 I'll say no more). Why are we still running R/R? Is it the cheep option? One last thing.... If I hear that we've got a good team on paper one more time I think I might do something regretful. Anyway rant over..... Come on the witches!
The cheering was not because a rider had fallen it was celebrating a good ride from a rider who has been struggling with form. If you noticed the reaction soon change when the rider fell and hit the fence. I believe you are trying to make something out of nothing as per usual.
No disrespect but Doolan was given more than a chance by the witches.... His bike always sounded like a tractor and from all accounts he wouldn't accept any help as he knew best.
Summary of this evening
Richie - shouldn't take 2 bad heats to work out set up but 3 great rides
Gino - superb
Morten - riding well and deserves praise
Cam - not good and not sure if he can turn it round which is very worrying
Rohan - getting back to form
Adam - don't want to watch him showboating down the straights at the back then nearly falling off around the corners. Is his heart really at Ipswich?
Ritchie - not good enough from an experienced reserve, only beat one rider all night. F0x !
Credit where credits due. You can only beat what turns up and that's what the Witches did tonight. Peterborough turned up with 6 riders not 1 and the Witches riders beat them. Heat 3 Cam had to pass both Panthers to win and this continued through the night with lots of good racing. Yes Peterborough had some bad luck but so did the Witches.
How about this now there are air fences !
T Kroner 8.29, K Smith 7.15, R Tungate 7.05, C Heeps 6.74, G Manzares 5.0, A Ellis 4.25, R Hawkins 3.96. Total 42.44
How about either of these?
Worrall 8.64 Smith 7.15 Tungate 7.05 Heeps 6.74 Aarnio 5.86 Hawkins 3.96 Worrall 3.0 Total 42.4
Or
Worrall 8.64 Bjerre 7.44 Tungate 7.05 Heeps 6.74 Garrity 5.45 Hawkins 3.96 Worrall 3.0 Total 42.28
I believe that doubling up should be allowed but the restrictions need to be the same for elite/premier as premier/national. If a rider with an average above 4 in the premier can't double down to the national then why can a rider with an average above 4 in the elite double down in the premier?
Might be wrong but someone told me it was announced at Mildenhall yesterday that Joe Jacobs will cover till end of season. Can anyone confirm this? Surely Josh Bates would be a better bet !
