I’d like to see AGM proposals for speedway to live within its means and offer better value for money for fans.
That’s got to be the only formula that gives speedway a future, rather than propping up the current failing venture.
If BV take 4 points that should be enough as Wolves would need 4 points from their remaining two away matches (assuming they win at home against KL), one of which is at Poole.
Has James Sarjeant ever achieved a 3 point PL average?
He couldn’t get an average when he did well as a “fast track reserve” and I can’t see that he ever achieved a 3 point average after; he’s always been allocated the 3 point minimum.
Leigh Adams. Majestic.
But I missed the 80s and 90s, so from a bit further back:
Peter Collins. Just fab to watch.
Martin Ashby and David Ashby. The former, because he could give World Champions a run for their money. The latter, because a David Ashby maximum is truly a collector’s item.
To get to 20 matches ridden for each team and have the top six separated by only 8 points is pretty good going for keeping up fans’ interest among the clubs.
Everyone said it would be open this year and so it’s proved.
