  1. FIM Moto TV is an option - I watched both Manchester GPs for €14.99 ...
  2. The truth is that modern super-tuned finely-balanced machinery has ruined tacks like Ipswich. The rapid pick-up when the throttle is opened, plus the unpredictability on other than perfect surfaces makes them far less suitable on smaller tracks. The behaviour of these machines is resulting in more high-speed crashes (Jack Holder’s is a prime example) - previously that would only happen if the throttle jammed open. The riders are to blame for that incessant need to “improve”, yet all they’ve done is increased costs for everyone.
  3. Not sure to what extent they "held" him, he never mounted a challenge ...
  4. I remember when Adam Ellis first rode for the Witches. In reaching a Final I posted about winning the £250k prize, and his dad got really excited ... until he realised the sarcasm of my comment.
  5. I think he's turned into something of a "throttle-jockey" (don't like the term) in recent years - he's much less interested if tracks are dry and slick, unless he makes a start. Certainly he's much more hit and miss, even in the Championship.
  6. This is the R1 fixture rearranged from the rain-off in May. Poland takes priority because their fixture was (re)arranged first. You should moan to the BSPA/L or the Promoters: 10 home league matches in six months is a hectic schedule to sort out, and they shouldn't have committed to such a difficult task 😝
  7. Can't think of any fans I'd want to share ...
  8. To be fair, it doesn't really matter who's at #1, neither Lawson or King have an auspicious record there for the Witches. It's a tough place to fill, even in a "weaker" league.
  9. When I said they would get thrashed, I thought the Witches could at least score 35 or 36. That was abysmal with a capital C.
  10. Lawson and King don't ride well together. Also, King has proved to be good cover for Heat 8.
  11. Yes, development has to be approved by East Suffolk Council. The last lot of builds: grandstands, sponsor rooms on stilts with balconies and the refreshments places underneath were approved in 2015.
  12. If they’re going to make a change it needs to be before 22 June when Castagna’s average plummets officially to 3.82 - and come 01 July he will almost certainly be at reserve, with Rushen currently over 5 …
  13. Monday’s thrashing at Belle Vue will count towards the July Green Sheets. There’s currently only 0.35 between Brennan (7.18), Lawson (7.11), King (6.93), and Musielak (6.83) - so there could be a new #1 from 01 July … although the new averages will also depend upon the oldest rides & points dropped from the rolling averages. At some stage in Tuesday morning we shall find out …
  14. There wasn't much racing to get excited about, but I must say that I thought Fricke's team ride with Jenkins was first class - Fricke filled every gap, while Jenkins rode solidly outside - a real throwback to the days of Olle Nygren and Tiger Louis.
  15. One 11 second clip on YouTube? I think ShanoXtra is a regular contributor. I assumed that the illegal stream they were talking about was someone filming the big screen ...
  16. I was told a few years ago that the advertising in the programme effectively covered the production costs, so the sales were profit.
  17. Absolutely no contact. Few riders negotiated the outside line on either pair of bends with any confidence.
  18. Because they are well under the points limit, it looks like they could replace Batchelor with Zagar, if fit, at least up to 30 June - then new averages would come in to play. Once the Foxes have completed 75% of their league matches, a returning Zagar could only replace Jeppesen.
  19. You do know that an experienced SGP rider from Australia couldn't be used to replace Batchelor ...
  20. Seems like he's been given the thumbs down ...
  21. Handed back by sponsors?! They can't even give them away?
  22. Another very noisy and heavy thunderstorm around 4-5pm for an hour, and then heavy rain for about 10 mins around 6pm. More black clouds over Foxhall at 7:40 - although I’m a couple of miles east and the sun is shining. Ipswich fans will be delighted that it’s off, because they’re desperate for a chance to see the Holder Bros flying on a slick dry Foxhall, instead of their usual pootling around on a damp and grippy field.
  23. No. Never went. In fact I’ve only been to one Individual World Final (Bradford ‘85) - it didn’t appeal to me the same way that team racing did.
