  1. Thompson had five rides, and when the Witches were comfortable he ran a couple of lasts - I wonder if they miscalculated that would be sufficient? He could have easily run another last in Heat 15 just to be sure. Leicester kept Masters just below Becker with some tactical non-scoring.
  2. Did the Witches management miscalculate for Thompson last night?! According to the new Rolling Averages, which will be the Green Sheets for September, he is 0.04 above Ellis ... https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2025-rider-statistics/
  3. Anyone at Foxhall tonight who's prepared to text for Live Updates, please?
  4. A couple of times Harris has whinged on TV (TNT or BSN) about how badly he thinks a track has been prepared ... obviously that's coincided with him not having a great meeting. However, you wouldn't expect a rider with such huge knowledge and experience to not be able to adapt to differing conditions ...
  5. It's only your "best" rider forced to be at #1 because of the Rolling Averages. It's a made-for-TV-rule that needs to be relaxed, at the very least to enable the Team Manager to put the top average rider at #1 or #5.
  6. The Live Updates team is still looking for someone who can text tonight?! If you can, please let them know - thanks: https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/23552/ipswich-kings-lynn-premiership-2025
  7. The absence of Ellis will make a difference. Definitely need King to be on it, and hopefully Harris will be in a huff because the track isn't exactly how he wants it.
  8. I have never considered passes off Bend 2 as actual overtakes - they're part of the opening of the race unwinding. I appreciate that it's subjective. As for crowd figures ... nobody knows them. Again, any estimates are not only guesses, they are also subjective - ask 10 Ipswich fans and they'll have different ideas. What BV fans consider to be a good attendance at the NSS will also vary.
  9. Your lack of comprehension and failure to grasp context is hilariously sad.
  10. Anyone going to Foxhall tonight who could provide texts for the Live Updates team? If so, please contact Lozzzaaadax and/or reply on the Updates thread: https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/23531/ipswich-belle-premiership-2025-30pm Thanks!
  11. But ... why only for a draw? What's wrong with 46-44, 47-43 or 43-47, 44-46 - the losing team has the opportunity to pull back some points in a thrilling end to the meeting. What if some teams never see a drawn match, and others have two, three or four? What's so special? Indeed, if the BSPL likes to have an extra heat, why not have an extra heat anyway?!
  12. Part of Regulation 10.3: “In the Premiership and Championship Leagues a rider taken out of a team through injury cannot be re-declared in that team, within 28 days.” This was introduced to stop teams from re-declaring “Willy-Nilly”, and also to be fair to whoever was brought in to replace them - hence the replacement has become known as being on a 28-Day deal. To be fair to the Witches, Jenkins had a nasty injury and it wasn’t clear how long he might be out.
  13. I reckon the best pass Monday night was Heat 5, when Kurtz drove off the inside of bend 4 to pass both Pickering and Morris. Not close-your-eyes-wall-of-death bravery, but well-calculated intelligent riding.
  14. He can’t ride for the Witches until the 28 Days of Edwards’ injury replacement expires.
  15. Easier to find out than to ask! Kvech will be 24 in October. It's easy to forget how young Kvech is when he always looks as if he's in his 30s.
  16. Well, they definitely needed more than 4 from Kerr to win!
  17. You made it sound like he would just be chucked into British racing …
  18. The Live Updates team is struggling to source a Texter for this meeting, so: a) is anyone going (at all?); ii) if you are, please can you text? Let me know asap, thanks.
  19. He completed 6 competitive rides - not just a second-half run-out …
  20. Perception vs Averages is amazing. Howarth started the season on a Rolling Average of 5.05, and is currently 5.39 - while his 2025 average (without BPs) is 5.43 …
  21. Four more rides … surely he knew after one or two more that he wasn’t feeling right. No problem - just slog myself into exhaustion, because I don’t have to bother with the UK.
  22. You're looking at the solution from the wrong angle. Most tracks cannot ever be changed. It's the machinery that needs to be reined-back - last night provided another example of how these super-tuned bikes can't deal with deep and/or patchy shale. Take the edge off their power, so they don't lurch or pick up dramatically at the slightest hint of a change in surface.
  23. You really are hilarious - desperately trying to make points that aren't there.
