  1. There are 'Re-wind' meetings on every night via facebook and/or You-Tube. See the SpeedwayGB website for those meetings advised by the various clubs. There have been team fixtures and individual meetings featured in recent weeks.
  2. I understand the Forestry Commission land issue and any Public space for that matter, But if its on Private land with the permission (if not to say encouragement) of the Land Owner, and not causing a nuisance to any neighbouring facilities, then how is that illegal?
  3. Great feature on Mark Lemon in this week's Speedway Star too.!!
  4. Good on the local Echo as well - they've got a big tribute to Gordon on one of the main news pages today!!
  5. So many messages on Poole Speedway's social media platforms regarding the passing of Gordon Day yesterday. Tributes from promoters, managers, riders, journos, sponsors, mechanics and of course the fans from many clubs from all around the world.. Sadly missed. Rest in Peace Gordy.
  6. R.I.P. Gordy. He was a permanent fixture at Poole Speedway for many many years and could always be found in the pits on match days. He was the 'go-to' guy for all and any information about speedway - not just Poole - and friend to many riders, sponsors and fans. His family would like to stress that Gordy's death was NOT Covid 19-related. Sincere condolences to Barbara and his family.
  7. They will save at least that much by the reductions in what they pay riders!!
  8. Aussie boys Zane Kelleher and Josh MacDonald have both stayed in UK during lockdown.
  9. This was taken from the live post-meeting zoom interviews with Chris, Darcy Ward and Davey Watt that followed last Wednesday's Poole Video re-wind meeting. Chris also added that he is now once again living in Ferndown - just outside Poole/Bournemouth but was getting ready to uproot to Torun - just waiting to find out if Poland's 2nd tier (Torun were relegated in 2019!) were operating the same rules and regs as the Ekstraleague..
  10. Well Batch is in the same traffic jam in Poland as Doyley this morning having travelled overnight by ferry to Holland. I assume Batch also has gone with the same club blessing as Doyley?!
  11. Tracking back over the posts it was you that introduced the 'poison'. You clearly don't like anything to do with Poole so just don't watch any of the videos. Simples! (Incidentally next Wednesday its Poole v Brummies from 2013 if you want to know what to avoid!) As for this section being 'your' league, well 'simples' seems to be an appropriate word. By the way from previous comments I thought you were only interested in the 'international' section. Apologies Monarchs fans - keep up the good work.
  12. I assume Jack is also doing the same as his brother?! Chris did also say he wants to ride in British Speedway again, but the visa came through a bit too late for 2020.
  13. Yeah but if the high street retailer is waiting to re-open with new stock, including what the customer wants, in a couple of months so what is the issue?
  14. Brummies v Pirates 2013 Grand Final (Perry Barr 2nd leg) next Wednesday 13th May. Followed by live link ups with Darcy Ward, Greg Hancock and Matt Ford.
  15. Personally I thought the IOW Warrior videos have been very good! Same production company - Speedway Portal - that do several other club vids.
  16. Every club will have its own budget and costs and will make their respective decision on season tickets (and sponsorship/advertising income for that matter) when they know for definite if/when the season will get underway and what format and number of fixtures there might be. No club and no fan or sponsor knows that yet!! As for contacting clubs - try via their website, facebook page, Instagram or Twitter feeds assuming that email or phone doesnt get a response - or don't all clubs have these methods?
  17. ...followed by after meeting 'zoom' interviews with Darcy Ward, Chris Holder and Davey Watt.
  18. Exactly!! If there is any UK speedway later in the year from say late July/early August any re-jigged or condensed league fixtures could have an effect on those clubs using 'doubling-up' riders aside from any issues arising from the foreign leagues and their contractual obligations.
  19. Presumably you could be looking at replacements for those riders with Polish contracts?!
  20. Even if there is speedway from say July/August, the Premiership only needs 6 home and 6 away meetings to satisfy a 'league' commitment - with or without any play-offs - as well as providing something for Eurosport. Clearly there would need to be some rationalisation of season ticket costs for those fans already committed to them. It would appear that Lee Kilby is this season's fixture guru for the BSPL and has already worked on several different fixture formats depending on any resumption date!! Although not relevant for this section, the Championship could also resort to North and South division fixtures with the winner of each division meeting in a Final.
  21. ....and hopefully his lockdown will be longer than everyone else's!!
  22. If he's signed on the bottom line in Poland then he can't ride in any other country's leagues. I've lost track of who else Swindon have signed? Does it also affect Batchelor or others?
