  1. Trigger has had the same bike for years. He's only changed the frame, engine, carb, chains, wheels, cut-out several times over!! (ref. Only Fools and Horses) Alright Dave!
  2. MaX!! MAAX!! Just think of the savings - no new kevlars........!
  3. Vinnie Foord out v Scunthorpe. Ben Trigger guests at home and Jacob Hook guests at Scunny on Friday.
  4. I'm sure Vinnie will at least start the meeting. If he has to withdraw then lets not forget Tobias will be at 6 for August!!!
  5. I thought the idea of introducing the monthly 0.50 increase to team building averages was so that 2025 team building points limit is to be higher than the 2024 38 points!? As for the Prem attracting more 'GP level' riders or indeed anyone from abroad - its not just the rider wages but all the other extra costs to take into account eg. up-front signing on fees, flights, transport, accommodation, mechanics, workshop facilities etc - so its not just about comparing foreign rider wages with UK based riders!! Currently there are 23 'doubling up' riders in the Prem (including Rising Stars) out of 42 riders in 6 teams (Kings Lynn currently have NO Championship riders). So lets see...........! Will Prem go 6-rider teams? Will Prem do away with Rising Stars?etc.....
  6. Except that not all Prem clubs will be able to afford more world class riders!
  7. Yes......and it could be for Poole.........??!!!
  8. Certainly didn't seem anything wrong with his machinery the way it was going after the meeting with Tom Brennan testing it out!! As I've said before I don't think he's 100% fit (who is?) after his recent crash at Poole with ribs and shoulder taking the brunt!
  9. Surely if decisions were 'financial' they wouldn't have replaced Dorset-based Kyle Newman with Dane Patrik Baek who would need to be flown in each week etc. Could have kept Kyle and put Barker at 1.
  10. So all the weaker teams- either in performance or financial capacity - will be insisting on 'sharing out all the heat leaders' to 'equalise team strengths' again for 2025. That will probably mean that the Championship will lose some of this season's heat leaders.
  11. That must have been one helluva end of season party!!
  12. Tom has done magnificently but I am just a little bit concerned that he may have a bit of burn out come the business end of the season. Hope not but its happened before.
  13. Richard ranking up his performance before his testimonial. Sponsors and fans will be queing up on Sept 1st!
  14. Been there, done it, lost money. Unfortunately many clubs don't have the luxury of a Tru7 Group main sponsor. Yes the turbo twins were great to watch as are lawson, Brennan and the Cooks. Race times are no better, no worse. And the crowds keep coming...
  15. Excellent post. Thank you Mike0310. Last nights heat 5 with Bomber recording the fastest time of the season by an away rider, Richard Lawson's faultless 15 pt max, plus Ben Cook's last to 2nd in heat 15 against Bomber and Ivacic were worth the money alone!
  16. I guess it also saves having to travel from Edinburgh on 23rd to Plymouth on 24th!!
  17. You might be surprised to know quite a few fans and commercial partners travel from much further away than just within the B'mth/poole conurbation.
