  1. Doesn't Hemsley need more time to spend on his Cycle-speedway exploits?!
  2. Its a bit of a weird one tonight. I hope Swindon get the point as they have generally been better performers over the season than the Hammers imo. Incidentally, when was the last time the Aussie Team manager had a team of 5 Brits, ! Slovenian and 1 Aussie versus the Team GB manager with a team of 5 Aussies and 2 Brits?? Knowing both Lemo and Rosco (sponsored both as riders) I hope its a good meeting for both of them. I have to go for Rosco though as he's closer!!!! ;-)
  3. Give it a rest guys. BV won by a miserly 3 points and Pirates lost by 3. As much as Lemo and the official meeting report puts a super spin on what a great win it was - I'm certain I know which manager is secretly more pleased. More of that in the play-offs please.
  4. What has Zagar's form at Belle Vue or Kurtz's for that matter got to do with the Kings Lynn v Poole thread?!
  5. As i've said before, KK has a natural affinity with Poole with his UK Management being based down here and also part of the Poole 'backroom team'. His inclusion or otherwise in a Poole team will as always depend on a mixture of pay demands and availability!!
  6. I think its always a balance of the two. But at the end of the day and at the beginning of each season its all about what combination of riders fit the points limit and who might be the most consistent and/or improve the most.
  7. Kennett's missed the PLRC and his last couple of PL meetings with an injured knee!!!
  8. Most points scored and least conceded over the league season - notwithstanding what happens in any of the remaining fixtures. Not too bad for Runners-up is it?!
  9. I wasn't thinking particularly of Poole - more either Lakey or Swindon. In any case back in 2013 Poole had someone really putting in the extra hours to turn all the programmes around!! (ps. If the cut-off had remained at tonight (14th) then I was told the P/Os would have started on 19th!)
  10. As someone says on the Poole forum, finishing runners up in the EL placings with the most points scored and the least conceded no matter what happens in the remaining EL meetings, is no mean feat!!
  11. I think the verbal 'kick up the backside' by Matt Ford to the Poole side after the Swindon away defeat (plus KK's guest performance against BV) has had the most 'positive' effect on Chris Holder's performances since!! Whether its enough for a team place next year we'll have to wait until the play-offs are over to see.
  12. The crucial last fixture is not til 16th - so 19th is a bit soon for either of those teams to properly promote, advertise etc a meeting on the following Monday - not withstanding getting a programme formatted and printed in time!!!!
  13. Each EL team has at least one GP rider THIS season - bar Leicester, which is less to do with cost than their chosen preferred race night!!
  14. Much better commentary than they get on Eurosport from 'straightaway' Sam!! Incidentally some good action and great comments from heat 13 on BBC South Sport this evening!!
  15. A good meeting to watch. Well done BV on the win. If anything I was a little dissappointed with the early Poole performances and thought Poole would scrape a 2-4 point win. Hey ho!! I did then remember there will be a new set of official averages out effective Monday 19th for the play-offs. I suspect a slight re-shuffling of the Poole 1-7 aside from any replacement or guests!!
  16. What night would you have chosen? Isn't NKI (and Batch for that matter) also involved in the Danish League finals on Wednesday/Thursday?!
  17. If Hans rides on Saturday then his injury cannot be classed as 'season-ending' unless he aggravates the hand again and withdraws from all other racing - allowing MF just a few days prior to 21st to bring in the rider who is on standby!! NB. I think Poole have a better chance of getting something out of BV tonite rather than at the Adrian Flux tomorrow. Chris Holder will be 'cream crackered' on his 4th big meeting in 4 days. Buzz will still be nursing his wrist injury after over-riding to impress at BV and Bjarne will not have the speed for the big Arena track!!. ;-) ;-)
  18. Danny King, Lewis Kerr in plus Porsing returns. Poole same 1-7 as at Belle Vue, which includes Tungate (unless he has an absolute stinker tonite!)
  19. Well lets hope its more than just a decent crowd on a non-bank holiday Monday, with most schools having gone back and with Sky showing it. Always good to have a great crowd for the cameras.
  20. They won't be banned - as always it'll be the GP riders' own choice if they ride UK next year. Maybe Rosco and the other promoters know there will be a squad system or shared number 1's?!
  21. I think Troy, Rory (and also Davey Watt) need to prove their all back on it during the winter back in Oz - maybe all in the Aussie Championships, before anyone takes another risk!!
