Slough used to have a greyhound track which was also the home of Slough Town FC many years ago. I seem to recall a supermarket being built on the site but it's a long time ago.
-
I watched it live. The Speedway Star report says 'possibly' in 2024.
-
Did he say next season though?
-
Has anyone ever suggested that a new track would be up and running in 2024?!
-
Those countries don't have 'fixed' race nights, they have priority race nights for when there are fixture clashes. Also is any new track allowed to go straight into the Premiership? Oxford weren't allowed to 2 seasons ago!

They need to get some more financial backing first - according to Mark Phillips, who is seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager. I'm sure I've seen an advert for an open fans forum soon - somewhere on Facebook probably. -
Just reading the Polish round-up in this week's Speedway Star and Piotr Pawlicki is looking to race in British speedway in 2024.
-
He is one of the latest Darcy Ward proteges. He won a meeting at Brisbane on Saturday! He has ridden occasionally as a squad member in Polish and Danish lower divisions so would still come in on an assessed 4.00 average, I'm told.
-
BE will set the rent at whatever level they wish - maybe just to be bloody-minded if they lose the appeal. I think Osborne said Poole's rent was currently £2.5k per meeting which is just for one sport at the stadium.
-
With Birmingham already opting for Monday racing in the Premiership, and Poole staying Championship, the one league scenario seems unlikely.
-
Viability is still relevant to the BE case as they would still own the site and expect a 'healthy' rental from any users.

Not if he listens to Lambert!! Unless he fancies a few late season guest bookings.
