  1. Yes but you must see how it might appear to the uninitiated?!
  2. I have. What have I misunderstood? Someone has clearly intervened as the cut-off was October 1st!
  3. NB. Glasgow v Oxford now scheduled for next Tuesday 3rd October (no doubt following intervention by the League Sponsors!) so unlikely that Poole will have a home meeting next Wednesday?!!
  4. Maybe a phone call to the reporter Paul Grinnell would be a better way?
  5. Hardly any rain today and Storm Agnes now looks to be heading more westwards with only gale force winds suggested in the Poole area.
  6. Edinburgh and Scunny both already riding Friday. I guess if Friday is a real option then Rory Schlein would be the only reasonable guest.
  7. I would imagine Scott overnighted in Manchester so he would have a shorter journey to Scotland?
  8. The chap quoted Coventry attendances from the C.Horton letter. I think he said approx 1700 for speedway and 3500 for Stox, increased for big individual meetings.
  9. He's now clarified only moderate weight given to total housing but greater weight to social/affordable housing.
  10. Poole were really successful in 88,89,90 with superb crowds back then in the National League. So much so that the British League pleaded with them to join them.
  11. Whether Poole have more or fewer than Oxford isn't really the point. Both teams are being successful in their current league through being successfully at the top of the Championship and in Poole's case also in the KO Cup final and having won the BSN series. Both have recently run on 'off days' yet still get decent crowds. A previous poster said Glasgow's attendance was affected by racing on an off-raceday.
  12. I wasn't seeking to compare Glasgow with Edinburgh Birmingham etc( incidentally I've been to both but not Berwick) but if one follows your argument about 'good racing' then crowds would be spilling out into surrounding roads in Glasgow every week!! There has to be a level of sustained success to maintain good crowd levels. As well as having the 'sports most successful promoter' - not my words simply those of the reporter covering the Coventry Stadium Inquiry! PS. I haven't been to Ashfield this season and hopefully won't have to if Oxford do the biz tomorrow!
  13. The forecast is quite varied depending on what site you look at. Since BBC stopped using the Met Office for their forecasts its even worse
  14. Sedgy guested for Redcar at Oxford yesterday so does that rule him out?
  15. Yes but look at the crowds that WWE and Monstar Trucks attract. WWE is on several times a week too!
  16. Oh it's not just me then? What's going on?
  17. You do have to feel some sympathy for Redcar - forced to track an even weaker side v Oxford. Lets hope for a Grand Final between the 2 Southern Wednesday tracks for maximum attendance for both clubs!
  18. Surely the Monday and Thursday Premiership fixtures are only 'prioritised'?! There is no rule stopping a Championship meeting taking place as long as there is no clash and no guest rider anomalies!
  19. Fixture planning should be much less of a challenge in 2024 whatever the League and Cup formats 'cos theres only the Olympics and Euro Footie fixtures to avoid!!!!!!
  20. So if both Edinburgh fixtures (home and away) are rained off will there be a virtual super heat to decide on the aggregate point(s)? Just asking.........
